Your tire shine/gel/coating recommended product.

Looks like the TW coating is still available online although it’s been a real long time since I’ve been to an auto parts store
 
I’m pretty sure but I’ll do a search again....
 
Well, I have many in my collection, half I can't post here due to the rules, although TW tire coating was allowed to be talked about for years, to this day even, so that is one but it's been discontinued, I have 2 bottles of it still.

Here's a couple, in no particular order:

-303 Tire Balm. A new comer to the arena, so some people may not even know about it. Its competitively priced and the shine is controllable. A good base should be laid down first, given atleast 15 minutes to cure and then a 2nd coat can be applied. The shine is never super glossy but rather a nice sheen and dries to the touch. Durability is a couple weeks with most tires but there's variables that affect this.

Gyeon Tire. The only Sio2 based tire product out there that I know of. This product will look great right away, 1 coat is about all that's needed but I've applied a 2nd coat after 15 minutes and it adds more protection and kicks up the gloss a bit. When i speak about the gloss it's not "used car lot" looking but more than a sheen for sure, a unique look for sure. Durability is very solid here as well, I've gone a couple weeks before I add a light "refresh" coat. At this point I'm not "trying to set a record" guy, so I always refresh because I like my tires to look fresh and besides, a good base laid down helps after a wash and/or driving in the rain.

Griot's Garage Black Shine. When you chose Griot's your choosing a product from a company who tests their products before rushing them to market, this is no different. Griot's has several tire products in their line up actually and IIRC they have a scale for looks to help you out. I like this product alot and it looks and performs similarly to Gyeon Tire, even has its same blue hue as well.

The other product use aren't sold here so I can't speak about there here but I'm a PM away if you wanna know about other outstanding products out there with their own unique looks and features!

I'm using Optimum Tire Gel right now and not a fan. It looks OK when applied, but duribility is very short. If you apply it even slightly too heavy, it can get shiny pretty quickly. When I run out of the Optimum, I'm going to give PERL a try based on all the great reviews.

Optimum tire gel is their worst product. Like you said, a single rain shower even while parked and it's done for.

I love how Perl and Megs Hyperdressing look but I get the best durability out of AA Extreme Gel.

Don't know about DuraGloss but your comments on Optimum are right on point. Bought a damn gallon of it too. I also have ordered Perl, which will be delivered on Monday.
 
PERL looks very good and if not exposed to rain, it will stay that way. I would say you could go several months that way without having to add more and that’s if you like a shiny look. If you like a matte look, it can last indefinitely.

Just ordered that as well. Loved the old stuff, so we'll how the new compares. Plus you get double the amount!
 
Here’s a funny one I bought a bunch of blackfire crystal coat when it was on sale 6 months I put a real heavy coat on it was nice but was not as good as an acrylic based coating still have 24 Oz of that coating left
 
Has anyone used forever black that was one I haven’t tried?
