Like GSKR states, I love cars... but I have a garage queen now that doesn't get driven. I agree with Jeff, there is a "stress" that goes along with owning a really nice car. My Mustang isn't a super-car but I can't tell how many times it has been a magnet for stressful things (luckily nothing Menz FG400 couldn't take care of).
I don't care for super-cars... None impress me.. Lambo's, etc.. The only super car that I really like is a mid 80's Ferrari 308... I thought Magnum PI was cool.
Really the car I would love to own, is one of James Garner's (Jim Rockford) 74-78 Firebird Esprit, which really wasn't an Esprit. They were Formula 400's dressed down to look like an Esprit to match the "Off the rack" style of Jim Rockford. That is a very cool car and that is the car that got me into cars when I was about 5 years old. I would love one of those. Aside from that if I were to buy a car today for driving, with a bit of fun, here is the list I would look at and it's in no particular order:
2016 Chevy Camaro 6cyl or i4 Turbo (not the SS, not practical for New England DD).
2016 Ford Mustang Ecoboost (Not the GT, already have one).
2016 Honda Accord Touring Sedan or Coupe
Tesla Model S30 (the new unreleased one)
2017 Ford Fusion 6cyl Ecoboost
Or I'd wait until 2017 to see if Honda comes out with an SI version of the Civic Coup.
