Just used WG sealant for 1st time. You all are right again. Best stuff I've ever used. It didn't seem to matter how thick or thin or how long it dried. Just a few questions.
1. Seriously, why use any other sealant?
2. Is it like other products in that 2 coats is preferred or can I wait for it to cure and do more coats?
3. How does it last? I like to top with collinite but really can't see the benefits unless WG doesn't last long.
4. If I do top with collinite, after some time can I put another coat of WG or will this effect bonding?
Sorry for long post but I'm really excited about a product that makes Toyota black look so good. Thanks a lot.

I have to concur with your assessment of WGDGPS 3.0, it is an awesome product.

Menzerna Powerlock is also another great Liquid Sealant, I think it has a bit slicker feel than WG 3.0, but IMO thought that WG 3.0 looked a bit better, as I thought the Menz PL was a little bit more sterile looking, and I seemed to notice the PL attracted a bit more dust.

If you're totally happy with the look that WG 3.0 gives you, then you might find that products such as Collinite 845, or 476-915 might detract from that deep, yet also that hard candy apple high reflective gloss.

What I've been using to top WG 3.0, to both maintain the durability, and maintain that killer look, is either WG Liquid Seal, Optimum Opti-Seal, or Ultima UPGP.

Theses WOWA's (Wipe on Walk Away) synthetics are so easy to use, they're as simple as a Detail Spray after a wash, and no doubt offer a lot better protection as well.

If you still like using a Detail Spray on occasion, then I heartily recommend the Pinnacle Crystal Mist, a totally outstanding product, best I've used in a long long time.

As for topping with any of the Collinite products, then wishing to go back to again applying WG 3.0, I don't believe you'll note any adverse effects such as streaking-clouding-etc, that all these will somehow not then play well together, as I believe that they will.

You "might" lose just a bit of durability of the WG 3.0 slightly by doing this re-application over Collinite. #845 is said to be a Hybrid, and there is the possibility that their Pastes may also contain some Synthetics in them also?

I usually do one coat of wg dgps topped with one coat of fuzion. The fuzion actually will elongate the protection period of the sealant

Ahh, forgot about WG Fuzion.

I never tried Fuzion, as IMO it is just too prohibitly expensive.
(might've bought it when that one time it was at $99 but missed it!)

But while we're on the topic of Fuzion, I have read here just about every member's account of this Estate "Hybrid" Wax.

What I wonder about, is that although it is claimed a hybrid, others seem to say it is still not that long lasting of a product, and I would assume as it's also claimed, that it does have a high percentage of Ivory Carnauba in it.

But others seem to claim the Collinite products will outlast Fuzion, and virtually all other Carnauba Pastes? Why is that?

That might be one reason why I might guess that even the Collinite Pastes include more than just a natural Carnauba ingredient in them?

PS:
I know Collinite perhaps is not quite as revered as many of the Boutique Type Estate Waxes made today, but I will say this without a doubt, that my 1997 Tahoe's 15 year old paint still looks like new, and one reason was that Collinite products, that I used on its finish for many years maintained the integrity of the paint.

I have used WGDPS twice now. First time was last fall and I got just about 6 months of good water bead!! I absolutely love it. This time I did the swirl remover, finnishing glaze, sealant, and topped it with Collinite 845. My truck looks absolutely amazing!!! My only issue was when I came out the next afternoon. My truck was sitting in the sun and my hood and a couple other areas looked as if I hadnt taken the 845 off. Almost like the sealant prevented the 845 from penatrating. Other than that my process was great and im very happy

I currently have a sample of it and must say I was VERY impressed with, really surprised me for sure! Tip of the cap to those who came up with the formula, easy to use/remove and really makes the paint look soaking wett!

After topping WGPS with so many products, I find that the best topping is another coat of WGPS.

I can easily get 6 months in Cali weather with 2 coats of WGPS.

1. Because they are out there for us to try them...
2. Two is preferred, but only because it is the way to ensure even coverage.
3. Really don't know - LSP's never stay long enough on my cars for the "longevity test". But I guess you can expect (at least in my kind of weather) more than 6 months.
4. Sealants don't bond properly to waxes. So...

You can get the small jar of Fuzion for $50. It's enough to do about 15-20 coats, it goes on very thin and easy. I will either do that or top with Souvern. I like WGDGPS on everything, paint, wheels, glass, trim etc.

Have you had any problems with it on your wheels? I have black 20" wheels and im having a HORRIBLE time keeping them clean. I have used poor boys wheel sealant and it just hasnt helped.
