Zanny Bimmer Wagon

You did a good job on the car. I see what you mean about the stripes, at first, I thought they were areas that you had taped off, and wondered why you didn't take it off for the final pics.

As for the jerk, it sounds like he is a legend in his own mind. You can't fix stupid.

I think you handled the situation very diplomatically, more so than I probably would have. If he ever comes back, I'd be tempted to tell him "I don't think I, or anybody else can do what you want for what you are willing to pay, so go home and do it yourself to be sure it's done right."

Do a good job on his friend's car. It sounds as if the friend is a reasonable person who knows what a ya-hoo the jerk is.

And try not to let it bother you.

The cool thing about the stripes is they were clear coated over! no taping necessary!

Thanks for all the kind words friends! Next up in the bay is a 2005 Audi A4 that is a mess and needs some minor buffing on the deck lid! She will be happy I know it!

You should have told him you would have needed alot more time to remove those ugly stripes along the car to actually make it look good. (yes I know they are painted on) What a fool, complaining that you cleaned, and then greased everything back up. I used to spray any air fresheners in front of my customers so that they could tell me which one they wanted in the car. Looked like a great turn around to me.

The worst part about the stripes is that when they were painted only the outer stripes are pin brushed... and the big one that looks like my tape there is overspray all over under the clear coat and into the jambs! I found out from his "friend" that HE WAS THE ONE THAT HAD THE STRIPES PUT ON!!!! I wonder if he complained that much about all the problems there? lol... Oh well...

Car looked great. You handled it more diplomatically than I would have. ;) Keep your guard up when you do the 'friends' car. Could be some kind of set-up to get back at you b/c he wasn't happy. Never know.
