i'd be willing to bet...not a lot, but something...that Zep is likely manufacturing HDX chemicals for Home Depot.
there are other categories that have the HDX branding, right? like tools and garden chemicals? HD probably just made a deal with some of their suppliers to have the manufacturer's branded products made under the HDX private label house brand.
happens all over the mass retail market for pretty much everything so i wouldn't be surprised.
I actually discovered that my local Wal-Mart carries a dew zep products. I found them near the paint section where they had janitorial supplies. This was at a super Walmart. I found out when I was getting some rubbermaid spray bottles.
I use zep citrus on tires/wheel wells and on the engine bay. Works amazing! I bought a gallon once and have not looked back.
Nissenc if you add a small amount to your wash bucket it should stip any wax right off. Just be extra careful not to let the stuff dry on the paint
The last time I picked up bleche white it did not seem to work like it used to. I was at HD and noticed the gallon of Zep 505 that I have read about on AG so I decided to give it a try. I put it in a foaming sprayer and diluted it a little less than 50%. It worked very well. My question is does anyone have experience with it damaging or staining wheels? I had no issue, But before I start using it more often I figures I'd ask.
Was using zep citrus cleaner purchased from lowes . But I switched to megs apc + . Purchased from my local vendor at 8 bucks . Way better price + wY better cleaner for fender wells and tires .
