Just finished a detail on this 9 second ZL1 Camaro. This car only has 13k miles but spends its life on the track. After discussing the owners budget and expectations we settled on a one step correction and interior detail. Thanks for looking!

Before pics

Iron X doing its thing

Iron x on the paint

Before polishing with FG400 3401 and an Orange CCS pad.

After polishing

The owner also needed all the burnt rubber removed. This is from 1 wheel well!!!! Mothers R3 rubber remover was used

This is before applying Synergy

All done

Thanks guys! This car was in dyer need of attention and the owner was thrilled at the outcome. Now looks as good as it sounds.

I will have to disagree on that one. I think it looks BETTER than it sounds!! You really brought it to another level!!

Great artistic work!!

:props:

Came out pretty nice, thank you for this very informative thread.

Best Wishes.

Can afford to build his car to 9 seconds but can only afford a 1 step hmmm.. Either way you hit that 1 step out of the park sir!!

Thank you!

It was really more of a time issue. He dropped off Tuesday night and needed it back Friday afternoon. I work at my regular job during the day and get home around 4pm. So I had to work on this during the evening. I try not to schedule cars during the week for this reason. So I proposed that with my time and what he was looking for this would be best.

Nice work, thanks for sharing! Do you know if the owner of this kickin ride has uploaded any YouTube videos of it on the drag strip?

Very nice! If I remember correctly, this is your first go round with Menzerna? Amazing how well it cuts and finishes LSP on a lot of paints.

Awesome car, awesome results, and holy moly rubber in the wheel well!! Fantastic!!

Beautiful work smoke! Dang!

FG400 is incredible as you can get it to cut and finish pretty darn well. Must have had the typical hard GM paint to finish off with an orange pad.

Thanks a bunch! I have been using Menzerna for over a year now and have had great results on other cars too!

Thanks! That's from one wheel well and 2 sets of slicks!

Here is one back when he was bolt ons only! The car holds the record for fastest bolt on only ZL1 in the country. It now has heads cam and other goodies. It went 10.03 first time out 2weeks ago on the new build. It will be back on the strip on Sunday stretching its legs.

Thank you sir! You guess it about the paint. I am sure sf4000 would of really stepped up the gloss but the combo worked well and the owner was thrilled as was I with the outcome.
