Phoenix Detail on 08' BMW 335i Jet Black - Anti-Christ of Paint

Great job. Now the car should go to someone who will actually take care of it lol.

Really a dramatic difference. These cars and similar were the bane of my existence until Rupes. Now I say "bring it". I've the best luck with Rupes white pads and Rupes Diamond Ultra Fine Gel Polish for finishing down finicky paints like this.

Great work as always. The both of you make a good team. The W on the trunk was a nice touch. You should invest in one of the Mitsubishi split units, couple more jobs and I will be getting. To damn hot in Florida. Thanks for sharing and posting as usual.

Is there any way you and Dani can show some video as well as pics? You two are awesome.

You guys did a great job.

I do know how much work this is since I have the 4 door version (E90) and it is also in black. Talk about a freaking full time job. Sonax Perfect Finish and GTechnig C1 were a god sent for me.

Amazing job!!!

That looked like a nightmare for sure. Black really is a pain. No blemish hides in black paint.

The Rupes is awesome...thats plain and simple for sure. Some of these rock hard GM paints we've dealt with were our biggest nightmare but the Rupes has saved us tons of time and energy already just in the few months we've owned them.

Which split unit are you referring to? Sounds tempting lol

Lol no joke there...have any filling issues with that perfect finish?

No joke there! I swear though its amazing how many calls we get to do black cars. Just booked a black S5 for next monday, have a raven black FRS coming in on Thursday....they like us....and we like them :)

I appreciate the professional teamwork almost as much as the outcome of that Bimmer. Truly epic work, thanks for the tour of what it took to get there.

The unit I was talking about, has no duct work. Just some thing the size of a suitcase on the outside of your home, 2 small pipes, and then the blower portion which you hang on the wall, which is about 3 feet wide by a 1 foot high. Then look nice and clean.

There's definitely something to be said about synergy. Having 2 people work on something doesnt always mean it'll be faster or better etc...they have to click...and we ABSOLUTELY click...all about balance :)

Thanks for the nice comments:xyxthumbs:

Well, you have my interest lol...do you have a link by chance? Id love to check it out.

Great team job, congrats!!
Very nice and documented all the process, I send you success wishes. :dblthumb2:

Always enjoy reading your write ups, gives me something to do while at work!! Great job, hopefully the owner doesn't take it to automatic washes and ruins everything.

Epic turnaround Wills!

You guys work together like well oiled machine.

Great job you two!

Not any that I can see but then I always use Eraser before applying any LSPs. For what is worth...the paint seems to squeak after the use of PF.

Ive read that some have said it has super durable fillers - as in even IPA wouldn't remove them...thats why i was asking. I havent used it myself so cant speak first hand...so far the best i've used for super fine polishing is HD polish...its really quite nice to use and a life saver on the soft paints we come in contact with :)

Lol im surely hoping not, his brother came in with his 3 series a few weeks later, but it was just a wash/clay/wax...not write up worthy lol.

Thanks man! Things should get moving even smoother with some new goodies we're getting....the spotless water set-up we got is priceless...hoping to add a small 2" polisher soon, i might just try the one from harbor freight...have an FRS tomorrow, it may work well for tight areas :)

Very thorough write up and awesome job. Even m205 on a mf finishing pad cuts very well on the rupes. I like that combo myself.
I think you have a double post at the end.

OOps! sorry about that :-\...thanks for checking out the write up though. And yeah the rupes could probably turn water alone into a decent compound lol
