hey guys

looking for a spray wax that can last up to 2 months or longer with decent protection, what would you guys recommend?

thanks

There are so many good spray waxes/sealants..Optimum Car Wax, Prima Hydro Max, Blackfire Polymer Spray, CG V7, just to name a few.

C2v3 smears way too much. OCW and Hydro MAX are great!

The smearing u r talking about.
Is it like u spray on, wipe and buff.
U take a finger and sweep across the paint, and it kind of leave the trail of where your finger dragged over. And it look like a oily residue or some sort?

Streaks that can't be removed. They go in whichever way you wipe your towel. Yes, it leaves an oily residue. Get me?

I really like Meg's Ultimate Quickwax. Does it last 2 months? I don't know but it's a sealant so I would assume it does. When I am done with this bottle I have a gallon of Meg's Express Quick Wax waiting to be tested, I read nothing but raving reviews about this product.

great product and it's lasted through a few washes easily for me. the nice thing is it darkens trim and obviously protects it as well. for some reason, the detailer line version of this didn't work the same for me. i dunno, maybe a bad batch?

Do you guys typically use a spray wax after every wash? If not what do you do to keep up the durability?

Agree with others on Optimum and Hydro 2.

I do not use a spray wax after every wash. Usually wait and watch the beading. When I am unsatisfied with the beading I top up the wax. My view is that manufacturers claim how long thier product will last and if I have to use it every wash the product is not living up to the claims.

I hope that's D156 you bought.

DG Aqua Wax is one my favs.

Not only is lasting: 2 months...asking a lot from a "spray wax" (depends on so many factors)...
But finding a bona fide spray-wax (one that actually contains a wax) is often an exercise in futility.

Not that this is entirely a bad thing:
Many hybrids/sealants, in "spray-wax" form, are excellent for those in-between touch-ups.
(A few even have claims of: 'can be used as a stand-alone LSP'!)

As such: I like Meguiar's and Optimum's the best.

:)

I've stopped using traditional spray waxes in lieu of Blackfire Crystal Seal. Easiest LSP to apply hands down and lasts much longer. WG also makes a version. Give either a try - one of those WOW products.
