I just need a good polish to cut the rest of the sanding scratches. I'd rather use the plast x it'll be for customers cars unless they wanna pay for the opti coat lolI was thinking I would use this as a sealant for normal headlight restoration

And have this as an upgrade option.

So you just want to polish the oxidation out? And not have to wet sand?
Then glaze with EZ Cream Glaze, Griot's Paint Sealant then top it with NXT wax.
You use a 3 step lsp on headlights?
I have done headlights, however I sanded them by hand. It'll get the job done. I however prefer to work by machine, if given the option.

I plan on doing my headlight work like Critical Details. However I am thinking of having 2 different options. One with Meguiar's Headlight Protection and the other for an upgrade option with Opti Lens.
I could be wrong on my package options however.
This order should be getting purchased by me from AG within the next week. So I'll be tuning in as to what others have to say.
Good vid, see problem I had was I only did 600 gritt 1500 2000 then 3000 lol I then used the plast x and had tons of scratches I was just asking for a compound and polish to use to get them outI have done headlights, however I sanded them by hand. Anyone know where I can find some 4 inch sandpaper so I could use it with my PC like on the video?
Yes!I just need a good polish to cut the rest of the "sanding scratches."
So wet sand then use m105 then m205?I use a 4 inch pad attached to my drill,I first buff it with m105,, m205 and then Meg's PlastX.
Then glaze with EZ Cream Glaze, Griot's Paint Sealant then top it with NXT wax.
The drill is what does it for me, good RPM's with an orange hook and loop pad. LC Hex
That's how I feel..I have never been able to polish my headlights to FLAWLESS condition. Meaning the Lens HAVE NO SWIRLS or SCRATCHES.
No matter how hard i try, there is always swirls and scratches....
Even after i wet sand....
I just wanna do a simple wetsand followed with m105 m205 then a plast x sealant. Something simple and fairly quick for an easy $40-60 for both headlights doneI could be wrong. In my mind however, I imagine 105 and 205 as liquid sand paper.
105 is a compound that will removing the sanding marks.
If you truly wanted you could wet sand 3000 up to 5000.
Them use a compound which will remove the sanding marks.
And 205 will remove those sanding marks.
M205 is a ultra fine polish (I believe)
So you could even jewel the headlights.
Which will probably be un noticeable to the un trained eye.
So in the end it will be completely up to you how far you want to take it.
That's why I included Meguiar's Headlight Protection or Opti Lens.
A buff and polish or do you want them restored??? (For the customers)
I'm sure it all varies in the end so that's why I hear them always say to have an individual package for each individual customer.
