How does this work with Hondas and Bugattis? Shouldn't the Bugatti be cheaper?
You are right to one point. Price goes up when demand exceeds supply. Demand by itself does not dictate price. Otherwise a Big Mac would cost you a fortune.
:iagree:
Problem is, with esoteric products (IE: Bugatti) the rules do not apply. With Honda's they do more or less. Here we have Honda and Acura, yet in other countries our 'Acura' is there 'Honda'.
And it is something to see just how wide a difference in price there is on the Big Mac, (depending on what country you're in).
The health insurance thing is stupidly upside down however. Just last night my daughter sent me a scan of the latest quote for her and her husband. They are both 25, in excellent health, and are having to purchase their own insurance. His company doesn't have health insurance but his boss gave him a raise to help pay for it.
Their current plan is a $2500 deductible with a 25% co-pay (in network, 40% out of network) with a $10,00/$30,0000 annual out of pocket (in network/out of network) and it's $255 a month.
But the NEW healthcare act allows for a $1500 individual deductible, 20% straight up co-pay, $6350 individual/$12,700 family out of pocket and is ONLY $625 a month! SERIOUSLY!?!????? :dunno:
That is (the second one) a good 65% more than we pay yet we have (as of this year) a $600 deductible, $3000 (family) out of pocket, no HMO, just go where we want, when we want. Plus we are over 55!
It boggles my mind that young kids that are healthy, not a big risk at all to the 'system' are being straddled with such stupendous rates. Multiply that times what, 13~14 million that are being forced to purchase at rates that are higher than many make in a weeks salary.
Remembering that we staged a revolution in this country over a 3% tax. What in the world are people do to when they are forced to shell out 20%, 30%, 40% of their bring home pay on an 'insurance tax'. I know my kid and her husband would rather just pay the doctor when they go, (considering they hardly ever do)
it'd be a LOT cheaper. Hmmmmmmm......
And yes.... I know I've not complained about Autogeek shipping. Guess I'm a really lucky guy to live just an overnights drive from them. I've never paid shipping, never waited more than 36 hours for an order either. Were I to have to pay, I'd not really complain about it either. Their service is first rate (while not the best prices in the world) but if you DO have a problem, and you WILL have one from time to time. You can either e-mail or call and get a resolution within minutes. Sometimes (perhaps often) you'll end up with FREE product. Try that with Google, or Amazon. :dblthumb2:
