Buying staff from Autogeek.net

I do have to say that AG does listen to our feedback, and makes changes where feasible. For example, I like their new "3-day shipping to the West Coast" deal. I think if AG were to expand that to the continental US, you'd see a lot less "AG should offer Amazon Prime" comments.

Free 3-day shipping over $95? I can wait an extra day.

To me, 2-day shipping is nice, but predictable delivery dates are more important. I want to know that if I order something today that it's going to be here by Friday. With UPS ground, sometimes it's 4 days, sometimes it's 7.

And people wonder why the economy is in the shitter and companies closing left and right....

This thread is a prime example why. People want and expect things. BOGO, 20% off, free shipping, and want it fast. Who cares about the company, and if they go belly up, I just want my stuff and I want want want. I guarantee if it was their company, they would feel differently. Everyone wants a handout, unless it costs them.

If you can't accept the prices and promotions offered here, utilize your shopping freedom and buy where it makes you happy.

I for one have no problems paying the prices AG asks for because I like what they offer and want to support them. I feel they do plenty to make it a pleasant customer experience and I appreciate that. Some things you can't put a price on.

I wonder how many would still be bitching about shipping prices if AG were to cease operations.

^Some good points here. I think the reason some perceive the economy as "bad" is because half the Americans are lazy and don't work and rely on some "entitlement" to subsidize their income. Not only to they constantly take, but you can't tax income that isn't made.

Every single person I see whip out their Access card (PA welfare) has an Iphone, a car, and like 3 bratty kids. They would never think "maybe I shouldn't have 3 kids, because I don't earn an income to take care of them", it's like it's their God given manifest destiny to reproduce as much as they want, knowing that their kids will never starve or want for medical care in this place. Of course, all 3 kids have 3 different last names - none of which is the same as the mother's.

Go figure.

:iagree:Makes me sick all the bitching and whining.

Id suggest you check out The Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay. Puts all other "high end" burger places to shame. I recommend the Kobe Burger!

This is Obama for u!! Freebees to every1 just vote for me. LOL now look at every1 point the finger. Well, only a few more yrs of this s#it.

Sadly, this is what the American people wanted. They chose this "leader", and now want to complain. Wait until they start losing their healthcare that they were told they could keep..

Hopefully its only 3 more years. Unfortunately the Republican Party has their heads up their asses too, so I'm not sure they'll get elected. Also, the takers outnumber the working class, so as long as the Democrats campaign on handouts, they'll be in office.

The burger bar is more $ and Bachi is better. They also have Kobe and Wagyu beef. I am sooo in need a visit with all this talk.

Do you stop and listen to yourself?

Guys, you know how this'll end. Maybe we best not go down this road. ;)

One question though. What did they teach us all in Economics 101 about supply and demand? The more the demand, the higher the price (for that supply product). Right?

So health insurance is going to be cheaper BECAUSE more people are buying?
Uh huh!!!

Try to get a full time job these days? Nobody, and I mean NOBODY is hiring anything amounting to more than 12~15 hour a week employees. Why? Because they have to provide health insurance for them otherwise. So you end up working 12 hours a week at 3 or 4 different jobs over 20 some hours a day. And THEN because you are so 'privileged' you have to buy your OWN health insurance or your elected officials fine you for not doing so.

In the words of the all knowing, all seeing Charlie Sheen, "Winnnnning".

From the "Urban Dictionary":

Charlie Sheen Winning:
Charlie Sheen Winning (also known as CSW for short) Is a disorder in which one feels that no matter what they do, they are always "winning" at life. CSW is quite similar to insanity except with CSW, you KNOW you're being crazy. You just don't give a f**k.

Micheal: "I have two porn star girlfriends who watch my kids and cook food while I do some nasty things to them in the bedroom! And I have NO idea what to buy next!"
Zack: "Damn man, you must be Charlie Sheen Winning!"

How does this work with Hondas and Bugattis? Shouldn't the Bugatti be cheaper?
You are right to one point. Price goes up when demand exceeds supply. Demand by itself does not dictate price. Otherwise a Big Mac would cost you a fortune.

Back to the original discussion that AGO is overprice, screws you on shipping etc.

I have purchased Kwazar sprayers from AGO in the past. I think they are fantastic and I need more. I saw a post about getting them cheaper than AGO thru a veterinary supply website.

The cheapest I found was $9.95 each on sale for the Kwazar "Black"

Shipping for three by Ground was $9.99

Total Cost: $39.84

AutoGeek has a three pack of the Kwazar Mercury Pro for $39.99
Because I usually wait until there is a 15% off sale with free shipping; my total cost on the doorstep would be $33.99....a savings of $6 and I get the Kwazar with the Viton seals and I get to pick what color I want!

I looked up the same deal on the PBMG section of Amazon and the price is also $39.99

:iagree:

Problem is, with esoteric products (IE: Bugatti) the rules do not apply. With Honda's they do more or less. Here we have Honda and Acura, yet in other countries our 'Acura' is there 'Honda'. ;)

And it is something to see just how wide a difference in price there is on the Big Mac, (depending on what country you're in). ;)

The health insurance thing is stupidly upside down however. Just last night my daughter sent me a scan of the latest quote for her and her husband. They are both 25, in excellent health, and are having to purchase their own insurance. His company doesn't have health insurance but his boss gave him a raise to help pay for it.

Their current plan is a $2500 deductible with a 25% co-pay (in network, 40% out of network) with a $10,00/$30,0000 annual out of pocket (in network/out of network) and it's $255 a month.

But the NEW healthcare act allows for a $1500 individual deductible, 20% straight up co-pay, $6350 individual/$12,700 family out of pocket and is ONLY $625 a month! SERIOUSLY!?!????? :dunno:

That is (the second one) a good 65% more than we pay yet we have (as of this year) a $600 deductible, $3000 (family) out of pocket, no HMO, just go where we want, when we want. Plus we are over 55!

It boggles my mind that young kids that are healthy, not a big risk at all to the 'system' are being straddled with such stupendous rates. Multiply that times what, 13~14 million that are being forced to purchase at rates that are higher than many make in a weeks salary.

Remembering that we staged a revolution in this country over a 3% tax. What in the world are people do to when they are forced to shell out 20%, 30%, 40% of their bring home pay on an 'insurance tax'. I know my kid and her husband would rather just pay the doctor when they go, (considering they hardly ever do) it'd be a LOT cheaper. Hmmmmmmm...... ;)

And yes.... I know I've not complained about Autogeek shipping. Guess I'm a really lucky guy to live just an overnights drive from them. I've never paid shipping, never waited more than 36 hours for an order either. Were I to have to pay, I'd not really complain about it either. Their service is first rate (while not the best prices in the world) but if you DO have a problem, and you WILL have one from time to time. You can either e-mail or call and get a resolution within minutes. Sometimes (perhaps often) you'll end up with FREE product. Try that with Google, or Amazon. :dblthumb2:
