SEMA Release of Rupes

I got my Rupes on the 15% off sale. Yeah that deal on the Flex was a good one too. Since I had everything I already needed so I went with the Rupes. They are both excellent machines and you can't go wrong with either one that's for sure. I use my PC with a 3" plate for the small spaces and applying waxes and sealants and most likely will until it dies.

I am gonna order the 3" BP for my PC one day. Right now I use the unsightly Makita Drill. Horrible...but it works. Just keep it moving!!!

The 3" plate is great for 3" and 4" pads, I use the 4" ones for waxes and sealants, it's pretty fast and way faster than by hand, plus it puts them on super thin(re your other post about how heavy to apply)

I use the 3" more than a 5" on the PC. Definitely a smart buy. Or you could get the little Rupes mentioned in this thread. :)

I'm missing the point of the Duetto. It says it uses a 6" pad (same as the 15), but just has a smaller (12 vrs 15) throw.

Wouldn't you want the 15 with the bigger throw?

Or, is it an "entry level" (less $$$) polisher to compete with the PC and GG6 ???

I think this is where they are going. Don't know where there will be room left for my 15 after that thing rolls out though. I predict a drop from the line within a year or so.

Sorry for the late update fellas - just got back to the hotel.

There has been no mention of discontinuing the LHR 15ES - the Duetto is simply a lower-priced alternative. The LRH 15ES and its larger throw and ergonomically superior design will still make it the superior machine.

No pricing has been released on either machine - yet! Stay tuned. :dblthumb2:

Why would they drop the 15? BTW, I know it's not on their site - it hasn't been for a bit. I don't see an advantage of the Duetto over the 15??? Maybe the Duetto has tons of power? Maybe I'm missing something? The 15 still has the bigger stroke, so it should correct or polish a bit better. Why would they d/c it for a smaller stroke machine? Maybe they are going to start endorsing the 5" plate on the 21?

For full disclaimer, I have the 15 and think its a great machine for hobbyists. So maybe I am biased.

Maybe you can tell them it's not on their USA website. Is there a reason for that, maybe an over site? That is why I believe people are saying it's going to be d/c.

Mike Phillips was running this new Rupes machine all day. It's quiet and light weight. Me want one. Had an awesome day at the AutoGeek booth and even got an Ivan bobble head to guard my Blackfire stock thanks to Bobby Britt.

Was at the Rupes booth today and tried out the new machines. The new 12E Duetto is pictured on the bottom and the new 75E Mini is on top. Both fantastic machines. I will be picking one of these new babies up soon.

Special thanks to the kind fellas at Rupes for the Big Foot Hat and T Shirt gifts from the SEMA show today. That was a very unexpected surprise. :xyxthumbs:

Sweet . I hope AG carries the hats. I will be adding the 75E don't think I need the Duetto as I already own the 15 and 21.

Im sure they will carry the hat. Yeh if you have the 12 and 21 than the 75E mini is the one for you. I'm still undecided which one I'll get. I like them both.

Very smooth and similar to the 15 and 21.
what i was hoping for! i may have to give up my GG for this! i mean i know all ro's have vibration but i don't like it to the point my hands are numb after a long detail!
