Incredibly Detailed: 2004 F250. Paint Correction + Detailer's Paint Coating

CG Bare Bones looks great on the wheel wells.

I have been using Griot's Undercarriage Spray

Trying Sonus Motor Kote this weekend

Great work as always Scott, we're you 100% satisfied with fg400 as a one step?

It sure removes a lot of defects quickly and finishes pretty good.

I haven't had a chance to use it in a two step, to see if there is any benefit to using something like SF4500 after or not.

What do you use CG InnerClean on versus CG Nonsense?

Do you find that InnerClean doesn't need to be followed by some type of dressing or is it really one-step, clean and dress?

have been using Folex, but just added CG Lightning Fast to my CART.
$9.99 and a suggested dilution of 20:1 make it less expensive.

I use nonsense on carpets instead of APC (I dont know why, it just works better for me). I use lighting fast on excessive stains only.

I use InnerClean like a quick detailer to make sure I covered everything and give it some UV protection on the interior surfaces like the center console, dash and door cards.

Again, great job. After looking through the thread again I have two questions.

What tape is that?

And also what was your process and products for the chrome bumpers and door handles, etc? I find it hard sometimes depending on the amount of road matter deposited on the front bumper it is very hard to get it to a condition that suits me. You did a great job and was wondering if you could share. Thanks

3M Blue, it's okay tape. I got it at lowes for something like $6 a roll (in bulk, 3 pack). I need to price out some tape and buy in bulk.

I used a microfiber towel and CG Metal Shine. Worked it by hand unfortunately and it took forever. If you have a machine product to recommend for polishing metal I'd love to hear it lol.

Okay sounds good. Right now I'm using I believe 3M 233+ (Green) and have been happy with it for now. Btw, you might want to check into getting an account at a local auto supplies store ie Carquest, Napa to get better prices on tape locally.

I haven't found a surefire way myself either. I have been experimenting with Mothers Chrome Polish and seem to have decent luck with it but not great. I would like to find something with a little more bite or just dial in my technique. If I find a good product I'll be sure to pass it on to you.

I have mothers polish and I don't think it's very good.

You did an amazing job on that one. Great work.

Okay, I'll have to try another product to compare it to. I might check out CG's metal shine or something else if you have another recommendation.

Nothing has worked better on chrome than collinite metal wax for me.

Looks great man, I noticed some serious water spots but all gone now:)
I will do my brothers red 02' F-250 one day, it's only been washed with Dawn really never had any type of protection, it's sort of dull and loaded with swirls, he's so good to me so I want to do something special for him.
I'll get him to sign some paper work that will state he'll never use Dawn again, only a good car soap. (Maxi-Suds)
He was here at my home so I did a test spot, he couldn't believe how it turned out.
From the looks of things it will be a long weekend of corrections to get it back to a good shine and swirl free finish.
I think I'll use my rotary with a wool pad along with 105 for my first step then use my GG6 using 205 for the second step.

That truck you did looked awful, very nice turn around.
How long did it take to do the job?

Thanks for sharing man:)

Meguiars Medium Cut Metal Polish

Meguiars Fine Cut Metal Polish

Both can be applied with the cone so im sure a 3in pad would also suffice

Thanks, I'll check them out.

~20 hours. It had the surface area of two cars. I'm just glad the interior was in pretty good shape. Correcting the roof was also a huge pain.

Holy crap! What a phenomenal job! How many hours did this one take you and how much did you charge the customer? Don't answer if you're not comfortable with that. Good work none the less!

He answered for hours in the post right above yours DVS, about 20 hours.
