Ferrari 458 Italia - Detailed by Lawrence

Thanks guys. I intentionally started compiling this thread as soon as I arrived home after the drive, hoping to try capture some of what I was feeling.

Partly as a record for my own reminiscing in time to come, and partly to try and let someone else share the whole experience with me.

To know that some of you felt like you were there yourselves is so rewarding. I know of no other community where car nuts and detailing nuts combine like here on AG, and thus no other community that would fully 'get it'.

It is a privelege to have shared this with you and to have access to such a wealth of information, shared by respectful enthusiasts like yourselves.

Awesome Write-up and glad it went so well. They are an amazing vehicle to drive! Cheers to a milestone in your detailing! Hopefully this means more of this "type" of work for you in the future. It's surprising how much networking you can get from a happy owner like that. They tend to have friends and associates that drive similar vehicles of that caliber!
Pictures look great! Excellent Job! :dblthumb2:

Excellent job and write up. But I loved hearing your experience driving the car, definitely seems like a exciting opportunity. I'd love to be able to even ride in one of those, yet alone drive one!

Simply an amazing and wonderful writeup. I was nervous and my heart was pounding reading that. Truly loved it and like so many others have already said, congrats on living a dream and on the great work!

Fantastic read. You sir are a true petrol head, seriously we need to use that term in America over gear head.

Like mentioned on VWCSA. Awsome work once again. Can't imagine how it must feel working on this for 3 days and then ultimately having tot take it for a flip Im the MAN

Top tier, Lawrence, top tier, good sir.

Your write up is an inspiration to us all.

The car looks fantastic.

What intestinal fortitude you have shown in the work you performed and your honesty in the write up.

:applause:

I had butterflies in my stomach reading this. What an awesome experience (both during the detailing and after!). You know you've made it in this bizz when you're approached word of mouth to detail a 458! Car looks perfect.

When is Chapter Two going to be written. I actually stopped a movie to read this!!!!. Great Story, mixed into a write up. Nice to see what others use for top end vehicles. Congrats on that detail, that one job will produce more top end cars, now that owners know you can handle it, a

Driven a Bentley, 911, NSX, 63AMG, R8, and a Maseratti, and detailed a Lambo, but not yet touched a Ferrari or Aston. I would feel the same way for sure, even it were for the 100th time. Polishing the curves all the while knowing how delicate and expensive everything you touch is, and how beautiful they are, makes all the long hours worth it. To me its is turning something into a living ART. I guess I will just have to buy one of those to in order to drive and detail it. One day for sure....

Lawerence as others said great review and awesome work. I'd get some touch up paint for the next time you get your hands on it and add some additional value. Something tells me you're gonna see this ride again. I bet the owners smile was as big as yours!

Wow, really really excellent write up. I throughly enjoyed it. Thank you for taking the time to share it!

Perhaps it's time to send the owner a "Annual detail is due" reminder?

Unbelievable! Thank you, lawrenceSA for sharing that with us. We all enjoy sharing the passion of detailing but then experiencing, through you, this wonderful post work drive closes out the whole reason we do this...to enhance the experience of owning and driving such a masterpiece.
