Wanting new wax, narrowed it down so help me decide

MS looks good but didn't seem to last for me very long. I would go with souveran.

You can't go wrong with Collinite products.I did my daughter R Line white Tiguan today with an old can of Collinite Sapphire paste wax that I have had for years and it worked excellent. I didn't have time to clay it so this wax has some cleaner in it and removed the flecks of tar.

Not really looking for a "show wax" as the durability will only last me like a week. Plus its better suited for non metallics/darker colors imo

I get more than "like a week" when I use it. And it works great on my Kona Blue metallic.

To each their own though.

Of the waxes you've listed:

Drew's Carnaubavore Wax.

Here's a few photos of a shade of grey metallic (Light Pewter Metallic) wearing Carnaubavore:

BTW
I'm curious to know the name of the old wax that you've now retired.

:)

Bob

Bob, that paint on the vette looks beautiful.

I just gave away my Americana which i've used for the past 3-4 years.

Americana is a nice wax. Reading thru this, I would pick BFMS out of your choices.

I have BFMS on my sheer silver truck. It's been on for over a month, sitting outside through 3 snow storms (well snowfalls anyway). I had to go pick up a few things today, when I was walking back to the truck after leaving the store and was amazed at how the truck still looked dripping wet as I was walking across the parking ( I always park out in BFE so I had a lot of time to admire it) As I got closer I couldn't help, but marvel at the reflections that are rare to see in silver. It'll be tough to get me to use anything else on it.

I currently have BFWD with 845 x2 over it. It's great, I use Pinnacle Crystal Mist while drying and i've used liquid Soveran spray wax once this winter. It looks great.
what's wrong with the 845 you mentioned?
The Crystal Mist works well to deepen the shine, IMHO.

IMO waxes are useless unless its a show wax. Most waxes offer very little real protection despite claims of months worth of durability. I prefer sealants and coatings for protection and a nice show wax for after a wash to make my sealant last longer and amp the shine. Carnaubavore was designed as a show wax BTW so my vote would be for that. Just my 2 cents..

You ever tried collinite waxes?

I have tried Collinite. Been through 2 bottles of 845. IMO its more of a sealant. Smells like a sealant and lasts like a sealant...
