Yep, just turn the polisher on and put the towel against the pad as it spins. After I'm done, I clean my pads with Wolfgang pad cleaner or APC. A section would be from turning the buffer on to turning it off for that single section you just polished. Pick up an inexpensive compressor. Best way to clean pads on the fly!!

The pad brushes are too harsh for foam pads. They're better for MF pads. Yes, a damp MF towel while cleaning the pad on the fly should be great. You want to make sure the pad is spinning, though. Don't make the towel too damp. :dblthumb2:Could I get away with just dampening the mf towel while cleaning the buffing pad. I've used that brush tool in the past and would see debris coming off of the pad and I thought it was product coming off, maybe it was more pad material than old polish/compound.
:dblthumb2:I tend to use a terry cloth Cotten towel because of the weave pattern.

Or, you could pick up one of these. Perfect for blowing out interiors and cleaning pads. Very quiet! I love mine!

Doubt it.Wow that's a very nice air compressor, I wonder if it can run an impact gun.
No problem!I'd love to use compressed air but I usually do friends and families cars, so its not an option for me, also I live in an apartment. I will use the slightly damp mf towel to clean my pads while polishing, thanks for the tips Mark!
