Possible Spring 2014 Chicagoland Detail Day?

I'm up for sending in products to play with. i just need a date and an address o send them to.

Thanks Forrest, as soon as we get that date I'll let you know:props:

Speaking of that, with the way this winter has gone I think May should be the month, maybe May 4th or 18th, seeing that May 11th is Mother's Day, every day is Mother's Day for you, huh Forrest, LOL!

My vote is for the 18th. Winter will be a distant memory by then.

My vote is for the 10th or the 24th since I'll be out of town the 17th and 18th. :(

+2 on the 18th of May.

We should cruise up there together Raf! Wonder if you can keep up :) jk

I guess any weekend day in May will work for me, especially a Saturday during the day for sure :)

Once you guys settle on a date and location, I'll see if I can make it and I'll try to see if my woman can get me a nice car or two to act as guinea pigs.

Not sure if I can make it or not yet; depends on the date....but if I'm able, then I can easily get pretty much any car/truck/SUV if needed to work on and I can also easily get body panels that we don't have to worry about damaging or anything like that.

I would love to make it.

^^No interest in body panels or more cars?

If they aren't needed then I won't worry about it. I think the panels would be exciting because we could use them for testing/lessons and be worry free about them.

If everyone is interested in another car or two, then I'm hoping to get a list of cars I can have and pick off of it.

Also, what is typically brought to these types of meets? Products that we use? Towels? Brushes? Equipment? Not sure exactly since I've never attended one.

Are poodles welcome? :o

I think a car (or cars) would be great for general detailing, and I think some body panels would be great for those who want to practic with a rotary or do some wet sanding.

This.
The panels are great to practice on if you have never used a rotary.

This is cool. Wish I could attend but I'm down south in VA.

May 18th works for me. I still have a few dark colored practice hoods sitting around if needed. The idea of pizza worked great for the last meet.

I'm glad this day works for you Paul and bringing the hoods is great, we can have some people working there while others work on the car, maybe even come over to the car and work on it too. You'll be making quite the haul out to Jeff's shop for sure coming from Indy but I'm glad your coming. For those who haven't met Paul inperson he's a really nice guy, full of knowledge and passion!

Looks like the meet is really gaining some steam!

I would love to join up with you guys but I should probably be getting there a little early to get set up and/or do a rinseless wash before everyone arrives, LOL!

I checked WeatherBug and the 10 day forecast says 43 and rain for next Friday.....BRING IT!

Alright, sounds like a plan, we can set up which is going to be all the involved, probably like a table for the giveaways, a little box to put your raffle tickets in ( anyone going please see me for your ticket ) and that's about it. After that I'd like to go over my car, as I'm sure everyone will want to also. Unless I get stuck in the rain the night before the car will be clean but I'm going to do a rinseless and AW wipe down so its looking its very best, with this group "friendly peer pressure" is there for sure, LOL!

As far as the meeting spot goes probably somewhere on North Avenue for sure and then head to 355 and onto I-90. I can tell you guys this, your GPS gets a good workout heading out to Woodstock, lots of left and rights and rights and lefts but you get right there. Those not meeting up with us, just like for the glowinng orb coming from the Woodstock area, that will be the Chicagoland AG group!!!
