I thought April Fools was 2 weeks ago!

^^ Seriously, my car door was frozen this morning and my rear window didn't defrost until about halfway to work! What doesn't help is that i stripped off all the protection off the car Saturday so it's just a big piece of ice, no ice beads :(

^ This past weekend I took all the winter things out of the car...ice scraper, snow brush, gloves. Thank God for heated seats and remote start!

I left my snow brush in my trunk. I just knew that this was going to happen.

Mr. Paul and Merc..what should be your punishment, LOL!

Ok, a couple of you have PM'd me needing the address to the Car Cave and I've sent them out, so others whom are on the list, drop me a PM so I can send out the info to you. I will post this from time to time before the actual meet so everyone gets the info, thank you!

^^ I know the address alrdy :)

That's good and PM'ing the host is another option as well for everyone but I'm on all the time so I might be able to get back with you guys quicker.

While I'm thinking about it I'd like to remind everyone to bring singles and/or fives for the pizza, makes the pitching in a lot easier. Btw does anyone have extra paper plates from a previous party they'd like to bring, Solo cups too?

The current list is at 16, shows 17 but Matt isn't going to be able to make it and I've sent out the addy to a couple people already, so send me a PM for the location if you have not done so already. Our most recent person sounds like a genuine noob, so that's awesome because people like this benefit the most. Personally myself I'm looking forward to being apart of the detailing of Merc's sisters Corolla and just being around everyone, icing on the cake would be if Jeff has some of his friends show up from time to time with their cars, plenty pf parking in the court area and surrounding area for sure, can't wait!!

^^ Cups and paper plates are cheap so worst case i'll pick some up.

Robert, thanks for the offer, but no worries...The Cave has a huge inventory of cups, plates & napkins, so we're all set :xyxthumbs:

Thanks Jeff, I appreciate it!

So I decided to open the boxes from 303 Aerospace because I thought they'd be 4 oz sample sizes and was going to bundle them together in a ziploc bag, well I was blown away to see they're much larger than that, so we've got a lot of stuff for people to chose from here, didn't expect that, thanks to Matt and Gold Eagle/303 Aerospace for hooking us BIG TIME! I also got a list of items coming from Mother's, let's just say the "Mother load", LOL! Then there's the donated items people are able to give, I see people making 2 trips through the line, SAVE YOUR TICKET FOR SURE! Oh yeah we've got Auto Geek coming through too, not sure what items are coming from them as Jeff was nice enough to handle that for us, either way this is going to be a great event!

Wow is the list growing and growing, looks like we'll have more than enough to work on the donor car which is good because there will be more time for meet and greet!

Hey Jeff, are some of your friends going to be stopping by to pay us a visit?!

If you need help "towing" all this stuff let me know and i'll put some stuff in my car.

I actually reached out to Chemical Guys last week via email and never got a response on perhaps having them send us a couple of samples. Oh well, it would be a bummer cause CG has some great products that some have not yet tried!

Thanks Genesis but it will all fit in the car, just put the rear seats down, remove the parcel shelf and load it up. I know I'll be leaving early to get there though, haven't really discussed it with Jeff yet but I need to get there, get set up and then do a rinsless wash on my car so its factory fresh, takes me about 45 minutes from start to finish to do a rinseless wash, clean the tires/wheels and wheelwells and dress the tires.

^^ I'll be doing the Garry Dean method on a car today with ONR. It's inside an apartment building with no water source. I brought my own water.

I'm doing all these cars but have no time to perfect my own!!! Running out of time here!!!! :(

***UPDATE***

I just received our donations from Forrestt @ Mother's and I knew we were getting a lot but seeing it in person was overwhelming! There's many single, full-sized items, as well as cases of sample sized items which are going to bundled into 4 packs, plenty to go around from our major sponsors and donations from fellow enthusists, NOONE will be going home empty handed for sure!

I will say that I've noticed some rubbing compounds and finishing polishes, not to mention Mother's Synthetic Wax, so based on the genrosity of Mother's in this department I feel we should use their products to restore Merc's sisters Corolla. I would like to assume that the Mother's rubbing compound is clearcoat safe, so we should be able to use it on the car after the wash/paint decontamination is done, surely someone will know if we can use this w/o a problem (I'm about to go to bed or I'd look it up right now) Either way, we'll have a polish to use for sure but there's a finish polish as well, so the level of corrction we'll be able to achieve on the black Corolla will be extensive for sure!

In closing for now I would like to once again thank our sponsors once who've stepped up to help out so far, Aerospace 303 and Mother's, you guys have really blown me away with your generosity, seriously, I'm really noone other than an enthusist who wanted to get a couple guys together so we could all do what we love to do together, check out some nice rides, get to put a face with a screen name, enjoy some food and just have a great time "in the zone" after one of the most brutal winters, ever! Lastly I'd like to thank EVRRYONE who's added their name to the join list and plan on attending, without you the meet would not be possible, THANK YOU!

Roger there are very few cars out there today that aren't base coat clear coat. I personally haven't found a compound that won't work on both anyway. The only issue maybe the ceramic clears and even with them the compound will still work it's just that they are so hard. Mothers would not make a product that wouldn't work with 99% of the cars on the road. Here's the products you received used on base coat clear coat.
