What is the best way to keep away from water spots.
Like getting caught in the rain or how to prevent water spots
In general.

Is this a daily driver? If so, forgot about it! Waterspots are unavoidable! LSP's and coatings will help tremendously but they will not fully prevent them.

When the vehicle gets wet be sure to dry it off as soon as possible by using a quick detailer or water less wash, with a deep nap microfiber towel, and even if you don't have a cleaning solution be sure to have microfiber towels that way you pat/blot dry the wet areas

Thanks,, that's what I thought. I have been drying with
Waterless as soon as possible. It is not a daily driver however the back gets wet under my carport.

Not sure what would be worse...Dealing with water spots, towling down dirty paint, or having to wash and dry every time the paint gets wet! I'm getting anxiety just thinking about it! Lol!

Sounds good, and may I ask why don't you put a car cover or extend the carport or make it into a garage.

I've noticed that it's almost impossible to completely avoid water spots (especially on the windows ) coatings seems to help to some point but they don't stand a chance when it's raining almost whole week

Use of a quality car-wash shampoo that contains water softeners (such as: sodium carbonate and EDTA) as part of its formulation;
followed by a very thorough rinsing-off of all of the car-wash shampoo's residues (especially important to get rid of its surfactants):
Will, IMHO, go a long way towards having fewer unwanted water spots until another car-wash session is warranted.

I am in the process of building another building. As for as the cover I don't like the moisture under the cover.

Bob, are there any you could recommend? I have a problem with particularly hard water at my house and this would help a great deal.

Thanks in advance

The way I remove waterspots especially if they are caked onto your car from the Sun I use simple distilled white vinegar. Cost about $.50 (for a gallon) at your local grocery store. It will remove the spots real fast. You will have to re-wax or seal your car (clay bar, polish, etc if necessary). I have tried quite a few waterspot removal products ranging from a few dollars to $$ and none seem to work better than simple vinegar. It does not destroy the paint either.

As for keeping away from waterspots as you mention especially if its a daily driver...if you have properly put enough protection (sealant or wax) it should be OK. I use Pinnacle Black Label for my Sealant and then top it off with Bouncer's Capture the Rapture wax. You can get all that stuff on Autogeek
