Compounding chrome rims! Before and after pics

Wheels look fantastic...good job!

If you don't care:
Would you share the compound's, chrome polish's, and detail spray's names?
Thanks.

Bob

I have to use the products the dealer supplies me with mostly malco but some off brand stuff. The compound I used is just called Perfect Polish. The quick spray is great on chrome, it takes waterspots off glass and it will clean black plastic too with no residue. I believe its called PolyMatrix. Thanks guys for all the responses!

Those wheels look awesome. All Ive had the pleasure of doing so far are clear coated rims. How long did all 4 wheels take you?

That was awesome. They look fantastic.

How long did it take you? Just kidding. I see it was asked several times. I don't think people read before they reply.

I definitly dont read past the first page until after someone replys to my post

Thanks for replying...
I appreciate it very much

Good to know the products that are used by other forum members for their projects.
(Living in Ohio...I have first-hand knowledge of Malco).

What did you use hear, I have Ford edge brushed aluminum and I usually spray meguiars non acid and clean them off, then I go to wax and rub it for about 2 hours on 4 rims , lots of work

I did some edge wheels this afternoon. Process was spray rim with glass cleaner light wipe down with very fine #0000 steel wool. Followed by chrome quick detail spray.

Amazing results on the Chevy rims

Also amazed that a Dealer paid you to spend 2 to 3 hours on it

Great job

Damn very nice! I'd be to afraid to use compound on chrome because I'd think it would scratch the heck out of them. In your case though you didn't have much to lose because of the shape they were in. Great job bro they turned out great.

I thought for sure they were aluminum. You did a great job on those.

And by hand? Double kudos.

GREAT WORK!

Sometimes by hand is the only way to go, well worth the effort for sure!!
