Compounding chrome rims! Before and after pics

Turned out great. Would using a chrome polish not do the job by itself?

I didnt have a standard polish on hand. I tried using my ultra fine compound but it was not agressive enough. Compunding wheels like that is fairly easy and quick way ro get a good shine

Amazing turn I love the shine if you did not say they was chrome they looked as if they where painted silver type rims before the polishing process keep it up

I'm with you. I was thinking they were silver with clear coat at first glance. Nice work!!!

WOW! Now that's impressive. Outstanding job Nick.

I had to look at the title of your thread to make sure I read 'chrome' after seeing the first pic. They looked like alloy wheels at first.

I bet the client was happy.

Wow great turn around is it possible to get scratches out of chrome?

I think that would depend on the severity of the scratches. Light fine scratches or haze might be able to be worked out with some compound or possibly some metal polish. Every situation is different IMHO

I spent about 30 mins each wheel using a medium cut buffing compound and a MF hand pad. Then followed with a chrome polish quick detail spray to finish it up.

What compound did u use

Thanks again.
Wheels look fantastic...good job!

If you don't care:
Would you share the compound's, chrome polish's, and detail spray's names?
Thanks.

Bob

Great work.. Goes to show that you went the extra mile to make them leave an impression on your customer! It confirms your passion and your customers won't forget that. What people forget is:
If they should get a detail from someone else down the road..and they DONT do the little things...they will always want to take it back to YOU!

WOW such a huge difference

The owner must have been properly chuffed!
