Help me pick a polish, sealant, top coat wax for Crimson Black

Just an enthusiast but want great protection and shine. I have a Nissan Maxima daily driver that is Crimson Black and want great results but don't have a lot of time to experiment with different combos. Can any of you recommend a great combo that works together and then maybe a detailer that will help maintain the protection to stretch out the necessity for reapplication. I think I am looking for a high gloss wet look. Thank you for any help or suggestions.
 
I should probably add that I live in Michigan with terrible road conditions, gravel, salt, etc. so need a tough combo. Also, the paint is in pretty good condition.....car is an 11 garage kept with 17,000 miles on it.

Sounds like something like a paint coating would be perfect for you.

Paint coatings offer great shine with a wet look after the paint has been prepped properly. They are very durable and last well over a year with proper maintenance and care. These coatings are very easy to apply which makes it user friendly.

Options would be DP Paint coating, Pinnacle Black Label Paint coating or Surface coating, Opti-coat 2.0, and Cquartz UK.
 
Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant or Menzerna power lock will give you the best gloss and protection.
 
Thanks Evan! The paint coating sounds great for superior protection toughness and length of protection. What are the cons of using a paint coating vs wax's or sealants? Can you apply a wax over a coating?

Paint coatings are great and if you want one that you can apply a sealant and or a wax over then look no further to the Pinnacle Black Label line with the Black Label sealant or any that you choose or CQuartz with Carpro Reload on top of that. Both are great options that offer a great look and much needed protection.

As far as Con's I cant think of any unless you just like the traditional look of a sealant or wax.

The nice thing with the coatings is tha the coating will take the swirls and or light scrtahces and bird bombs rather than the clear coat. You can then if needed polish off the coating and re-apply another coat of the coating that you pick.

I love the look of Jetseal 109 (or any good sealant) topped with a wax specialized for black cars like Chemical Guys Black Luminous wax. I use that combo on my GTI and I absolutely love the look of it.

I just looked at the PBL and I gotta say, that looks good. I might have to get some of this for my wifes car and as an option for customers. I still perfer a 'nuba, but I'm oldschool like that haha.

JetSeal doesn't last long though, looks wise. There are much better sealants out there, like Duragloss #111.

You wont be disappoint and the nice thing is the PBL plays nice with waxes and sealants so you still give your 'nuba some love :xyxthumbs:
 
Never used PBL, but, heard/read nothing but great reviews.

Colonite 845 is terrific. Check into some reviews on it, you'll be happy.

But, it's a Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge kinda' thing.

I have no Idea about how long it last, I use my car as a testament to my detailing so I reapply products to it about once a month. My wifes GTI is Candy White and it has had Jetseal 109 on it for about 7 months and it still beads nicely and looks great. But, since her car is Candy White, it might just look good anyway.
 
My G37 is Malbec Black, which I believe is the same or at least very close to Nissan Crimson Black

I had Opti Coat 2.0 applied shortly after I got the car and I personally love the look. Its more of a sealant look for sure ("hard", not like a soft deep look from a carnuba) but personally I think it makes the black color look all that better.

Chris, do you happen to have pics of your car that you would be willing to post. I love the G37's as well.

I notice there is a PBL coating for all surfaces. Would this be as good on the paint as the specific paint coating? It would be nice to knock out the need for multiple products. Also, is the PBL stout enough that you would then trust a good touch auto wash....or at least give it an armor coat that can take on the swirls that I can always refinish and save on the clear?

Yes the swirls would then be on the coating, but why would you ruin hours upon hours of work for one auto car wash? Yes you coud reapply it, but why would you want to do that so soon after getting your show car finish?

Believe me, I don't want to but I am on the road a lot for business and clients are in and around my car often. It had to be clean and I just do not have the ability to hand wash it every time it needs it. Now that being said I am going to try to keep it as clean as possible on the run with a waterless wash product but I am sure, especially in the winter, I am going to have to do more than that. Now I do have a great friend that has a very good touch less that softens his water and does not reuse so is very good quality, but it does not get a dark car completely clean. Maybe I can do the touch less then finish off with a waterless w/o messing the finish?
 
I should have pics sometime Sunday. You can check my thread from a week or two ago about the dealer wrecking my Opti coat (swirls everywhere!)

If the weather holds out it will be getting fixed on Sunday. I started to work on it myself and was able to make some headway but it was slow going....the dealer cut a check for me to get it fixed professionally.
