Duragloss Enviroshield Ceramic Coating System

Thanks for the compliments guys, I appreciate it. Even though this is the Enviroshield thread I wanna remind everyone that I did polish the car with Meg's M101 and although a bit more of an aggressive product I turned the GG RO down to 4.5 and used their orange pad and IMO it worked wonders! The application of DGPC just makes it that much better...and better protected too!

Most of the country is just now completely thawed out. As the temps warm up there will be more people posting here.

I just bought some, I plan to detail my wife's car next weekend and try it out on hers. I'll certainly give my impressions of the product then.

The thread is fine, I started this one as a place for those who've used it and would like to review it for everyone. This product is very new, only been out for a couple weeks and like mentioned earlier, a lot of us are waiting for warmer temps. I'm sure in the next couple weeks more and more people will come in with their pics and take on the product.

I've gotta be honest here, with the quality and price ensured I'm surprised the list isn't larger than it is. I already have DPPC and bought the Enviroshield system anyways because I love DG and don't "follow the herd", plus I don't have all the extra money to spend on the current "latest and greatest" but then again once the people come in here with their reviews and word gets truely out those other brands are going to be in for a rude awakening, trust me!

Thanks again Bill, DG is "the people's product"

I just went ahead and purchased it last night. The price was to good to pass up. It's always warm here in Southern California so no issues on using it. Just have to set a day to do this. I will be using it on my mom's car and possibly dad's.

Also picked up the rinseless wash. Not bad for about $54 shipped.

Thanks Guz, looking forward to your review as well!

Hi All,
I am new here but have a 2008 Victory Red C6 Corvette. After doing my first ever paint correction using a GG6 and an assortment of products, mostly Wolfgangs 3.0, I applied the Duragloss Enviroshield kit. It went on well and easy, using the squeaky clean first. The squeaky clean does get the surface of the car literally squeaky clean, making plenty of noise as buffing off with a microfiber towel. The coating itself went on pretty easy, although I was working in a dimly lit garage so it was a bit hard to see if I was using too much or too little of the product. I am sure I have some high spots where the coating wasn't buffed off absolutely 100%, but the overall finish is plenty good enough for me. As others have mentioned, the shine and wet glossy look is awesome, and really made the car "pop."
Since having applied the coating, I have only washed the car once with great results. Any bug remains, dirt, etc seem to wash off the car much easier than before. Water beads very nicely, making drying easier as well.
Overall I love this product, although it is the first coating I've ever used so I have no other comparison first hand. I plan to detail me wifes black 2013 Cadillac ATS and then coat it with Duragloss as well, when she ever has a weekend off where she wont be needing her car. Anyways, as most of you always say, this thread is useless without pictures. Here are the finished product shots.

Legend, car looks great and although not a fan of black wheels atleast they aren't shiny and I LOVE THE STYLE of them! Did you coat them? Are you planning on a 2nd coat? Let's see some pics of the Caddy when its done too and THANK YOU for the review!

What's that going to prove?

Bob

Let me guess... this is when you to tell us how water activity is not an indicator of protection?

Thanks, but some of us are just interested in the hydrophobic properties of LSP's

By no means did I ever plan to be a transgressor:
By becoming, to you, an unacceptable-digresser.

Thanks! I hate to say it, but the wheels are plastidipped at the moment haha. They are painted black with red lip underneath, but wanted to know what they looked like all black. I like the look, but this plastidip stuff attracts everything from dirt to brake dust to little pebbles, so they have been a royal PITA to keep clean. I am planning to get the wheels powdercoated flat black centers and gloss black lips eventually. One they are powder coated, I will either seal them or coat them, depending what is possible with powder coat?

Hoping to get the Caddy done sometime soon, but who knows. Seems each weekend gets busier and busier

Coat #2 is going on after work today, its going to be 75! Its going to sit all evening today, all day Sunday and not come out till Monday afternoon, plenty of good cure time, away from the outside environment.

Glad to see we've got some more data coming in, try and get that 2nd coat on if you can to ensure complete and total coverage.
