I have done a looottttt of experimenting and should probably start writing reviews for it. I use it a 1:128 WW. I have polished hoods and got them dirty and try to make swirl marks in them. Yes you can still do it at 1:128 but its all about technique. I do a few things different as well. One of the main things is that I saturate the panel with a pump sprayer until its dripping off, then spay a bit on a mf then wipe off using many mf's and not re-introducing dirt into the paint.
I did a lot of testing before I used it on clients cars because I had never used a WW before. I tested a lot of product in many dilution ratios and found out a lot of interesting things.
Even at 1:128 I have not scratched any surfaces of the paint. But all of the cars I do it on are very lightly dirty. I am trying to find someone at meguiars to talk to about this and find out there recommendations and I would like to give them my input to improve the product but cant seem to post on there forum or talk to a rep or something.
I understand and can appreciate where you are coming from as I to have experimented to come up with other uses and solutions to problems.
But playing a little bit of the "devils advocate" I personally think I would go around suggesting that as a true waterless wash especially when Meg's themselves have not made the same recommendation. I say this thinking mainly of the new member that may not know the full background that just shared and take your word as the law. On a side not I can wash a little dusty car using a MF towel and straight water in bottle like a waterless wash and not scratch anything. It's all in the technique.
With that said, I like D114 as a rinseless wash and UWWP as a waterless. Use the right product for its intended use and you almost can't go wrong.
