Coated my tires today and WOW,

Walmart here its 7.00 on clearance. Trim coating is 5.00. Cart has 11 boxes in it, along with the five bought earlier.

I will trade you some of my FrankenDetailer for 2 bottles of the TW tire coating, drop me a PM.

There are more Walmarts nearby, 5 within a 40 minute drive. I also passed an AA last night I will stop at. I think I also have more in my detail box in the garage. I will get back to you, Thanks.

I did the same thing with Turtle Wax Waterless when it to went on clearance, went on a collection run one day, had a blast and ended with 8 or so bottles which should give me detailer spray for a very long time.

Okay, I figured out the O'reilly way. (BTW--$2.87; I was wrong.)
Go online order a bunch at your store. I tried 5. ALL THE WAY to entering all the info for shipping, paying, then it tells me only 2 available and to change the amount. I changed to 2, hit update, and ###? Back to square 1. I entered ALL the info again and it let me buy the 2. Now you have to wait for an email telling you when it is at the store. I thought there were only two left in the system.

Fifteen minutes later I get an email to go pick it up!! It must be in the back room.

Out of curiosity I tried the next closest store 25 miles away. It let me do 5.

Yes, the system is screwed and a lot of work, but if you want to stock up, there it is!!

My wife is out picking up some things right now and I asked her to check for the TW kit as well as DUB wheel cleaner.

The thing for me is this, when you hear a great product like this so deeply discounted you want it more than ever, especially at these prices. Right now my bottle is 3/4 full and I have 2 more full bottles, enough to take me through next year for sure. Once it's all gone I guess I'll have to go to DP but by then it will surely get the usual DP "new and improved" label. Even at full price you get so much more with the TW kit and it's a superior product, win win where I come from👍👍

Is DUB wheel cleaner also on clearance? I hear it is as good as sonax...though I never used either.

It has gone on sale from time to time but all other DUB products have gone away forever. The DUB wheel cleaner at normal price is 50% cheaper than Sonax and comes in a 22 ounce bottle. Pick some up because it works very well!

UPDATE on O'Reillys.

I just picked up my order at the local store. Then I asked the guy, "There were 5 bottles in xxxx the other day, can you ship them here so I don't have to drive 27 miles." He looked on the computer and said, "They have two left."
He asked the manager, who said to me, "It'll be two to three days because they have to go back to distribution then here." I told him a week would be okay if I can get them for $2.87.

They are on the way. Woo-hoo.

So try that!! You may have to online the first one(s); then have them check surrounding stores for you.

Just called the local Pepboys and they said they're not carrying it anymore, even though it shows the TW kit on sale for $10.90 on their site. I was about to go for a ride but no dice. They also had DUB wheel cleaner on sale for $5.90 but not at their store, it would have to be delivered for the next day. Seems 2 great products are going away, looks like people don't realize a quality product when they see it, maybe you should BUY IT and see for yourselves.

Is there another tire coating that matches-up?
DP is pretty close but it is significantly more expensive. The one good thing about it is though because of its color it will not stain the edge of your wheels.

This gives DP time to make their product better, hopefully their paying attention here!

Then it doesn't have the black dye in it?

No, it's white like a regular tire gel. I'm sure the black cost tech factors in to the looks of TW but if you find my old comparison thread on my DD work van it's obvious the TW has a slight edge.

I'll cross back over to the DP tire costing when I need to, still a good product just not TW

Okay, maybe too late, but to answer the question, NO the Endura Tire and the Trim stuff are not exactly the same. A lot of MSDS searching.

BOTH are 80% water and "10-15%" acrylic polymer-- proprietary. The final 5% in he two are different. Trim stuff has ethers and glycol to penetrate; wheel stuff is different there.

So, not much different, but I am not sure about putting the ethers, etc. on the tires. Yet, the trim stuff says vinyl and rubber.

If I don't need to stain it black, I use Aerospace 303 anyway. (It's now in a new, confusing container.)

The 303 is a solid product for sure but TW is in a different league. You wanna get the kit only that comes with the tire cleaner, gloves and special applicator.

It's a good idea to change the cap as the pin hole one the bottle comes with clogs easily. I've also had a guy post to put a thumbtack into the applicator to deal with the clogs.

When using the special applicator the first time your going to wanna prime the applicator by pushing the coating into the foam. If not it will just roll off and into the ground and get wasted...or worse yet into your pants or shoes and at that point you can forget about it because that dye is STRONG.⚠

So oreillys had it on its site for 2.xx. By the afternoon it was not there anymore. Been calling around and finding some. One place told me it's been shipped back to distribution. Anyone know what's going on?

Here she is almost a year later. I'd say it has had very few miles on it, and note that this side has been facing the sun for the last 6-7 months if not more. They are not great, but they look pretty good for not having been touched. I think they look a little better in person. You can see where it is failing but the low evening light really brought it out on the front wheel.
