Hey Guys,

So recently I had a fundetail come through.

This Yellow 06' spider was actually in good condition, but we were aiming for a high level of correction - 98%+

Now to the correction steps. As this colour is a solid pigment, very hard to see defects to begin with, I found there was a few deeper marks, but overall a dull effect to the paint. Used MASTER COMPOUND and a WOOL PAD on a Rupes 15 polisher to correct.

Then INVINCIBLE priming polish to jewel on a Flex PE14

I apologize for the lack of before pictures, this colour, lighting, and camera were not working together and capturing them was hard - only ended up with a handful that turned out!

For the COSMIC paint coating, I applied two coats of GOLD METALLIC blended COSMIC - This product has 24 karat gold flakes infused to add a sparkle to the paint, I used this along with a gold tinted base to really intensify the yellow and gloss.

Thanks for viewing guys!! :)

Thank you for taking us step by step through this detail! Personally, I've never used Polish Angel products but have heard about them. I have to admit, that in the initial photo the Ferrari didn't do a lot for me but as they progressed I thought to myself...WOW, this is really coming out great!

The engine compartment really took on a life of it's own after you were through with it. The finish now looks spectacular!

Great photography too!! :props:

Amazing work though it seemed like this Ferrari lived in a bubble at first until you showed us different...keep up the great work

Aw thanks a lot Bobby!! Really means a lot.

Thanks! :)

Well this car is garaged all winter, rarely sees rain and what not, so naturally the paint wasn't in bad condition at all. Doesn't make for great 50/50's but makes it easy to correct and chase every defect out!

Stunning. Thank for the excellent photos.
How does the ENGINE get applied/removed? It looks great.

I think I need to go back to "detailing school"! Fantastic car, and the owner surely picked the right person to instill some loving, and proper detailing to make this car look the way it should look!
Thanks, enjoyed very much!

Beautiful work Andrew! That yellow Ferrari looks great after your TLC. Thanks for sharing.

Would be great to see some sun shots of the gold Metallic cosmic over the yellow paint.

THIS!!!

Would love to see what kind of effect the gold flake has on the paint.

Wow excellent work sir!

I'm curious as to what wool pad you used on the Rupes? And how does it compare to a microfiber pad in terms of cut and finish. Thanks :xyxthumbs:

ENGINE is very unique, it is basically a waterless, rinse less engine wash. Simply apply very liberally and then wipe off. Built in oils act as a nice dressing. Its made more for dusty and not so dirty engines, whereas something really caked would need a degreaser and brush.

Thanks!!

Thank you very much! Customer was quite thrilled!

What a job you did and what a car.:props:

Thank you sir! :)

Mike, thank you!!

I wish I could've really showed what the gold metallic did! Of course this colour and lighting just wasn't working in my favour! I did manage to forget snapping a pic of the gold flakes on the plastic trim I coated though!

I have a solid black (no metallic) Escalade to do in the next little while, I will surely demonstrate on that!

I was using the polish angel lampswool cutting pad. With regards to cut and finish, they work extremely well at levelling out the imperfections without creating any heat and do not hologram. My choice for soft paint. Compared to an MF, wool will spin faster and easier on soft than MF, so if you can think of this Ferrari's panel where every inch is a curve, keeping the pad spinning is more of a challenge, wool definitely helps. MF though is really good, I love the Rupes MF pads!!

Awesome work Andrew!

Thanks mate!!

Thanks for posting! I try not to miss any of your masterful details!

Well theres a bunch more in store!! :)

Thanks!!

Thanks for the response Andrew! Gonna have to pick up some of those polish angel pads one of these days. Keep up the great work.

It's actually nice to see what was done in pictures - Nice work - I will eventually bring my other cars in as well.

Thank you very much!! Looking forward to the next! :)

I've missed this thread, thanks for taking it back.

I'm totally impressed with the quality of this work. Working on those cars and getting them to the level you reached is for few.

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing.

I'm one more for the gold flakes pics! Please, let me know when you place some.

Kind Regards.
