I have already done this once, but it was years ago.
Just a refresher introduction I guess.
And my first real question.
I'm looking too compound my impala. It has the factory paint (1965) and minor rust.
It has sat inside dry storage for the last 8 ish years and I'm finally getting around too it.
The car is clean enough for a mn car (needs floors and quarter patchs, that's about it)
But lets get some back story on it. I bought it as a father and project too be my first car. Its the basic 283 powerglide non SS hard top model. With what I believe too be a real 26k (was parked in 1971 when the frame broke, but that's another story)
It had little things done too it over years such as headers and a rub out when it was first bought and making it drivable before we realized that the frame was no good (all this with in 4 months of purchaseing acutally, lol) Then came the dry texas parts car and then the project pretty much came too a halt as other things came up. Mainly moving and my fondness for off roading.
But since its spring once again and the car has sat long enough I have decided its time too finally get the wheels turning again.
As the car sits it runs and drives with a leaky 2 barrel and 14 inch Keystone classics.

Basically how it looks now. Sorry for the dark photo.
I am looking for any products too apply by hand.
Currently I have 3m rubbing compounds and a assortment of waxs (Mothers FX, Meugars NXT and Black, turtle wax hard shell liquids) and No.7 Glaze.
Which of these products would work best (I know compound, polish, seal) or if I should look into other things
Looking back I see I rambled on some but you get the jist of it. Thank you for your time.
