CarPro says not to use on coated glass, I believe some manufacturers have a coating on top of glass which would harmed by Ceriglass product. I was concerned that MF tow els might be contaminated by wiping off residue from glass polish. Sorry just a newbie
I think I will clay, polish with PBL surface cleansing polish, hopefully this will be clean enough for PBL Glass Coating. Thanks for help.
The "don't use on coated glass" I believe is referring to glass that has been coated with one of their glass coatings.
As Bob noted, they are referring to manufacturer-applied coatings. At one point Lexus was applying a coating to the driver's window and perhaps at some point to the windshield also--this was a "permanent" water-shedding coating.
I think there was so much confusion etc. about it that they stopped doing it (it was only on certain models, anyway). To the OP, there is about 0% chance your Silverado has a factory coating on it--check your owner's manual!
