Most Under Rated Product?

The OTC meguiars ultimate line...compound, polish, quick detailer, quick wax, ultimate black for trim. All exceptional products for about $10 most places.

I have to agree on this one. I have used pretty much the whole ultimate line except for polish and compound (I use M105/205).

At least once a week I recommend the Ultimate paste wax as a great OTC product. I also like the Ultimate quick detailer.

Bang for the buck and the finish the Ultimate paste wax leaves is great!!!

I agree with the Ultimate line by Megs.

I have found the Paste was hard to work with on my black car (streaking) on any other color (red and blue) it turns out great. I may try it with the new 4" pads I ordered to see if the machine application makes a difference.

I would also have to add here the California duster (after posting in the washing thread).

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Go ahead and hang me! LOL

When used properly works extremely well. I think too many people have used it scrubbing the paint, which if you have to do that to remove debris the car needs to be cleaned with a surficant (QD, ONR, or Old Fashioned 2 bucket). It works really well with pollen.

I know this might sound like more work to some but try using the Ultimate quick detailer spray when removing a paste. When wax is hazed and ready for removal just mist a little on the panel and remove as you normally would with a high quality microfiber. Works like a charm on darker colors.

Optimum opti-seal. Completely underrated LSP that is super easy to apply and has great durability.

IMO: Too delicate of a "suspension-process" to use.

However:
I've been known to use "The Dash Duster" on occasion. :)

This was asked in response to the Sonus Trim and Motor Kote that Dr Oldz posted. I have been looking at that product lately.

I see.

I am interested in that product too, but ended up purchasing a gallon of Megs Hyper Dressing (for dilution ability, and versatility) to use. If I don't care for the results of Megs on the engine I may pick up the Motor Kote.

What is the life span you are achieving?

Do you use it over the winter?

If winters in Marion are like Chicago, it takes a beating. The roads turn into toxic waste.

Usually get a solid 3-5 months depending on weather and how the vehicle is kept. Pretty solid for taking a whole 10 minutes to apply.

Meg's UPW. Solid durability. Lasted through a terrible winter for me. Two coats for greatness. Slick and looks good.

Vinylex. A bit shiney for me but a quick wipe with a mf after it dries drops the shine back. Works well.

Griots one step sealant. Super user friendly, can do some correction, and it lasts a decent while. Makes me want to try their pure sealant.

I'm going to say
Meguiar's M21 & UW
Meguiar's White and Black wax

Mothers Reflections Spray Wax
Various other Mothers products including their M Tech Line

DP Poli-Coat Paint Sealant, DP Max Wax, DP Interior Protectant

Some items in the Sonus line.

Whatever drink is being consumed while detailing.

I like DrPepper in a gigantic cup loaded with ice. And a Moon Pie:hungry:

But if you want a "detailing product" it would be anything from Armor All. And they deserve to be under rated.

Hum... I don't think you understand the concept of Under-rated ;) Armor All is very OVER rated.

I heard their Wheel sealant was good though.

I honestly don't see much posted on the Wheel Woolies Boar's Hair Detail Brush, but they are extremely versatile on both the exterior and interior while being extremely durable. For the exterior, its my go to brush for cleaning around the lug nuts.

I have just seen Garry Dean use them in a video so I went searching the web for them. They seems to do an awesome job! I will definatelly order a set.

It looks awesome if applied correctly. A light coating using a fine spray then walk away for an hour. Initially it is a bit milky looking and may seem that it didn't cover properly but believe me it will level out in a hour.

It dries and doesn't attract/cling onto dust. Unlike other dressing such as the mentioned Hyper dressing.

It last very long.

Works on plastic wheel wells really well.

Makes next engine detail easier as usually just a damp towel will clean everything up. (Or a light spray of water if applicable)

Just to name a few

Here's another Meguiar's plastic & vinyl coating for those hard to reach places.

Now I wish I would have started this thread before I made my last purchase.

Looks like I will be starting a new wish list!

IDK about most underrated product, but one underrated product IMO is DP poll-coat sealant.
