You know you are a detailer when....

I just walked into my garage and was hit with an overwhelming smell of waxes and compounds. I figured out my towel bin is a little full but I really liked the smell:)

Way cool!! Makes the garage smell better too! I like the smell of Celeste Detaglio wax, smells like almonds and I will leave a used foam applicator with it on (I have about 25 applicators) so my garage can smell nice.

I am not in detail for business just a hobby but when you said this I was pleasantly surprised!!

Haha. My mom says she knows I'm a detailer because I wash more microfibers than clothes!

That's awesome. My wife gets upset with me because every time we go to SAMs I buy a 30 pack of microfiber towels.
 
I think you know you're a detailer when you notice swirls in EVERY car you look at! Dealerships, car shows, anytime I look at a car I notice imperfections.

that's Funny!!!.........Mrs07 told me I had to clear out some clothing...so I did and replaced them with Mf, so yeah I can relate.
 
My family blocks my view in parking lots so I can't see all the swirled up cars and headlights with UV damage. I find it amusing because lately they have been pointing out the cars that need paint correction.

Oh man, drives me crazy to see these on people's car (any my family's cars too). Need to figure out a good way to let go!

I fix that by detailing all of my family's cars haha. Normally when they're gone for the day/weekend. Can't stand it on cars I see daily!
 
When your having a bad day and you go get the mail and a box has your name on it and makes the rest of the day better. :)

The Detail Box of this month came in today btw ;)
 
When it's past 12am and you're on a detailing forum reading about wax/microfiber/soap/etc.

When your kids start pointing out swirls on other people's cars every time we are driving any where, and ask you why they don't bother 2 wash and dry their cars properly.
 
When I know that I'm a detailer? {LOL}

My Wife lets me know when I'm a detailer, or not.

When your 8 year old announces in the middle of the museum exhibit that "people need to stop touching the cars! We just cleaned them and they just can't keep their hands off them". Or his most recent " daddy I'm going to buy a Lamborghini Muira and I'm only going to let you wash it".

This recently happened to me with Bouncer's Sherbert Fizz! This is why I love and prefer using products that smell good.

Wow way cool!! I have a 14yr old and 17yr old next door neighbors boys starting to realize that after showing them how to correct paint on a car. They recently told me this when they went to a local Cars and Coffee here. Ferraris Bugati's Porsche etc and they said quite a few had swirls!
