Review: DUB Wheel Cleaner

I have finished two bottles of DUB Wheel Cleaner and still do not care for it. I really dislike the smell! As far as cleaning power, Mothers Foaming Wheel and Tire Cleaner is still "top dog" amongst OTC wheel cleaners in my opinion
.

I am very impressed with the product. For the price it maybe the best wheeler cleaner out there.

Been meaning to post this...

COVER YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT!

I say this because I generally use it down in the garage and this stuff is strong, I can taste it on my tongue even:eek:

Same here.

I was glad to finish off that over priced Sonax product.

More product for less money, and it even sprays better.

Nice test. However, I would have not rinsed after letting it dwell. I would have went straight to agitation for sure. I think doing that would have made a big difference in cleaning.

Agree 100%

Thanks for the review. I love this stuff. I feel that for the price, functionality, and results.. I have a hard time justifying the money that other products are asking for.

Advance Auto has it for 2 for $10 till the end of the month. Think they will also do 1 for $5 if interested I just trying it. Carquest also has the same deal.

I love Megs Dub WC as well.

I have no idea what "Dub" is, but to me the really odd thing is Megs seems to be offering/making this great product for someone/something called "Dub", but not producing an equivalent product for their own OTC or professional lines.

If Megs were to sell this stuff for like $35 a gallon (which seems feasible given the price of a bottle) under their own line it would be the best selling bulk wheel cleaner out there.

I agree about the DUB line, don't really get it but I'm sure when it goes away it will reappear as another wheel cleaner, it's just too good to go away!

Thanks for the heads up on the sale, but unfortunately they were all sold out by me. Employee said they have a tough time keeping in stock when it's on sale.

Yea, I wondered the same. Maybe the Dub line is just a test bed for a product they thought might be a fad or might not be liked because of the putrid smell, idk.

Seems they watch the forums though and have this other thread linked on the Dubcarcare site.

Wheel Cleaner Review at Auto Geek

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...eguiars-dub-color-changing-wheel-cleaner.html

Thought it was kinda funny that they linked it and the OP of that thread says in the first paragraph "The line is pretty mid to low end, and would likely have been passed by completely by Autogeek types." But, I guess mid to low end is what OTC usually are considered.

I can't really imagine the product going though. Would assume that eventually it will be offered in the professional line in a larger quantity.

Hey Meguiar's, check out the Incredibly Cheap Finds thread too. Lots of good reviews

Poor review calling it "low end", more proof of don't believe everything you read!

I agree!

The reviewer has never used a product like it, thinks a 1/3 of bottle is needed and used it on clean wheels. Let alone has 5 posts...

I'm with swanic on the bulk, a gallon size wouldn't be able to stay on the shelves.
