Why can't AG offer discounts to Canadians?

Another product to separate you from your money. This product would benefit any color car not just white. 1 it has cleaners in it to clean your clear coat.2 it has micro abrasives to polish the clear. It is not doing anything to the white pigment under the clear.

So with the micro abrasives, like the Meguiar's version, it's best applied with a machine?

I believe it has the same consistency as Black Wax - thick, pudding-like.

White Wax contains cleaners and micro-fine abrasives that remove embedded dirt - the type of contaminant that hinders the shine of white paint. Add in some protective ingredients and you have a pretty nice wax for white and light colored vehicles.

I'm looking forward to trying this product. :props:

Sounds like you need someone to test this out for the forum community Nick. I happen to know someone who has a couple of white steads in the barn. :xyxthumbs:

aren't all products designed to separate you from your money? not just a detailing thing!

Sounds like an AIO to me. I have some white wax already. It's called meguiars D151 and a lot cheaper.

Hi all

I bought it. It was delivered today. Just wondering how the micro abrasives will work on my 22ple glass coating. It's a very creamy wax.

I have some on the way, looking forward to trying it against Dodo Diamond White.

Why would you apply an AIO to a paint Coating?
Does your 22ple glass coating need abraded?

:smh:

I thought the micro abrasives would help clean the containments that settle on the car without having to clay the car to remove them. Just because the car is coated it doesn't stop tree sap and other elements from settling on the paint. And washing doesn't always remove them. That is why I am asking if the abrasives in the White wax will damage my coating. I called chemical guys before I bought it and they said it won't harm it. But I wanted to ask the experts here what they thought before I try it.

Some people's definition of "harm"
may be different than mine.

To me:
The use of abrasives---Abrading---means removal/reduction of material.

I consider Coatings to be materials.
Abrading them (depends on the processess' aggressiveness) may not totally remove them...but they will be reduced to a given measure.

Is this a "cause for alarm"?
How do you define "harm"?

I never got on with any of the chemical guys pudding consistency products. The chemical guys video showing the performance of white wax really turned me off to it. It looks like the detailer had to literally scrub it off the paint after letting it setup for 20 minutes.

Another thing I shook my head at is the fact how in the previous video they discussed how the product has micro-abrasives and chemical paint cleaners in it, but then right after that they apply it over a fresh coat of their hybrid paint coating which had about 10 minutes to cure after application...! huh !!! typical chemical guys, this product works in EVERY situation. for one guys its a compound, for another, its a paint cleaner, for this guys its a finishing wax, oh yeah, its also a sealant, car wash and quick detailer. we also designed it as a wheel wax and window rain repellent, all with new hydrophobic nano glass hybrid polymer natural citrus copolymer body coating and sealant for every surface that calls for cleaning and conditioning.... what ?

btw, Meguiars White Wax is cheap, extremely effective and applies and removes like butter. It will turn a white MF applicator black on what looks like a clean car, and WILL remove haze in paint by HAND!!! How could you top the overall price/performance of it ? I dont think you can.

Hype hype and more hype. CG makes some great products, don't get me wrong but it's all marketing.

So...
Is the CG's White Wax that can be purchased at the factory store going to be formulated differently than the CG's White Wax that can be purchased from AGO's store?

Chemical Guys White Wax

An excerpt from the above link:

"Chemical Guys spent an enormous amount of time developing White Wax, and the unique formulation they created is proof.

Chemical Guys knows a thing or two about making paint shiny, so they decided from the start that
White Wax would have to contain cleaners and
micro-fine abrasives to maximize the shine potential of white and light colored paintwork."

I read the entire product description on the Chemical Guys website, and i saw no mention of Micro-Abrasives.

Chemical Guys White Wax - Experience the Brightest Shade of White

I called Chemical Guys yesterday and asked about the Micro-abrasives. The product specialist said that the wax has no abrasives inside the wax. He said the wax has cleaning capabilities but contains no abrasives and is a pure finishing wax.

I trust the Chemical Guys Specialist first because they are the manufacture.

How can it be a pure finishing wx if it has cleaners in them?

•Sure:
-Your prerogative to trust whomever you please.

•On the other hand:
-So you're saying that this product's description, as presented by AGO, needs to be corrected?
How can it be a pure finishing wx if it has cleaners in them?
^^^Thanks...My feelings exactly!^^^

Also:
Hard to unscramble what I perceive to be an unclear CG product description...Would you, or one of CG's Specialists, care to answer the following?
TIA.

•Is this CG's White intended solely for SS paint-systems?
-At least, and accordingly to the CG's White product description you provided, it seems to be more directed towards SS "White paints"; That is:
-Instead of BC/CC paint systems---where the BaseCoat "colors" are: Whites; the ClearCoat "color" is: Clear/(Colorless).

Nowhere could I find that this CG's White will "refine" clear-coat paints.

To clarify Autogeek's description of Chemical Guys White Wax...

The product does NOT contain "micro abrasives." Excitement about the new product got the best of us and we goofed up the description!

The description will be updated today.

How can it be a pure finishing wx if it has cleaners in them?

Carnauba has natural cleaning capabilities. Carnuaba wax has natural oils inside the wax. This goes for both creme and paste wax. Carnuaba can gently cleanse the paint and remove things like light tar and sticky stuff that gets on paintwork. Natural Carnauba wax can even remove oxidation from metalwork. Take an old penny and use Carnauba to shine it up and it was look brand new.

CG Even made a video using a pure carnauba wax to remove spray paint. The wax had no abrasives, but removed the spray paint because of the natural cleaning properties of carnauba.
