did my friends 2014 Golf R
washed the car. after wash, paint felt like sand paper. never been clayed. washed again. taped off. wheels were removed, took about 30-40 per wheel to clean. first with wheel cleaner to remove dirt then sprayed ironx several times to remove all iron from wheels. whole car was sprayed as well. lots of iron contamination. after drying car i did test panel and found that SIP with yellow pad got most of stuff out. some spots needed second pass. tried CG microfiber pad and it worked great, need to get more. after, followed with menz 106. car was then washed again with CG citrus wash with ironx soap gel to prep for cquartz. next day cquartz was applied and left if cure for 24 hours, wheels were coated as well.
