Spray Waxes ?

I had my 1991 T-Bird repainted 7 months ago. After 90 days I waxed the car with Klasse AIO.

I like to use spray wax sometimes between washes. Are all spray waxes about the same or is there one that really stands out ?

•I would rather say that you polished with K-AIO...an AIO that leaves a certain amount of Sealant on the vehicle's panels.
-Ever contemplate applying Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze over the K-AIO? {"The Twins" are a Dyno-Mite combo!!}

•Optimum Car Wax may be just what you're looking for:
-Even its formulation (UV protection) is patented!!

I really like Meguiar's X-Press Spray wax... but I never tried Optimum's so I can tell you if it's better or not.
 
Thanks guys for the quick replies. I am using Meguiar's Spray Wax now BUT doesn't seem to last more than a couple of weeks.

I think I will try the Optimum Spray Wax.
 
If I can chime in. I would say reapply AIO to remove the other waxes then apply 3-5 layers of Klasse Sealant Glaze. I'm confident that you'll like the look of wet nail polish. The only spray wax I've used that seems to approximate the Klasse look is Duragloss Aquawax used in conjunction with the Duragloss quick detail spray (spit-shine style). Other spray waxes editorialize (change) the look.
 
Not sure if it's technically a "Spray wax" but you may like Chemical Guys V7 as well. It's actually marketed as a spray sealant, but I use it as just a really nice detail spray.

And speaking of detail spray...aren't they considered spray waxes anyway? Or only the ones that have carnauba in them?
 
Optimum Car Wax (OCW) will last 1-2 months easily. You shouldn't need to apply it weekly as it would be a waste of product, time and $$$. Yeah.... it's THAT GOOD!
 
Optimum Car Wax indeed ... spritz and wipe off. No heavy buffing and a great glow.
 
I wanted to clear up the "grey area" on prima hydro max and prima wax as you dry. The hydro max is a stand alone sealant. It will give you months of pure protection. A LSP if you will. Using it as a quick wax or detailer would be total overkill! Wax as you dry is what you would use to MAINTAIN the hydro max finish or any other finish with a good LSP on it. I have used both. And they are really outstanding. A hydro max finish maintained with wax as you dry (about every other wash) is hard to beat!

They are both outstanding! I use Prima Hydro on my ZL1(daily driver) after my weekly wash. I use nothing else.
 
I'm not a big fan of spray waxes, but having used Opt spray wax I will say it applies effortlessly and beads up quite well. I like the fine mist spray of their bottle sprayers also. In between applications a select QD will help with longevity, but when working by hand I prefer almost any paste wax available from AGO to a spray wax. YMMV
 
Can you apply the optimum spray wax when the car is still wet after a wash or better on a dry car? Also, better to spray directly on surface rather than onto microfiber towel or foam applicator to apply?

IIRC Chris Thomas has posted that while it can be used to wax as u dry, the durability will be compromised. But I have no personal experience since I only apply it to dry paint.
I spray the towel, apply to surface, then flip and buff.

You CAN but you SHOULDN'T since it will decrease the LSP's longevity (if the surface is damp, then it is OK).

It's better to spray on the surface and then spread (no need to buff).
