Saw these pictures on the net and thought I would share them. Can you imagine the damage if you did anything similar to one of todays vehicles.

haha,,, crack, bang, boom, and dent... $1000-3000 later don't touch my flimsy spolier!

Lol, they don't makem like the old days, that's what you're trying to say?

Great share, plentifully agree!

Kind Regards.

Great pictures! <Runs out to the garage to stand on my Subaru STi spoiler>

Don't those spoilers go all the way into the trunk, not just attached the the rear deck lid?

Pretty impressive

Neat pics! Never thought those spoilers were that beefy. I guess they needed to be with a car that could hit 180 mph right off the showroom floor.

Classic iron horses...no cars wont ever be build like those classic

Probably came in handy for watching early NASCAR races.

Due to the way society is today, they would have a warning label on the spoiler. It would show that you should not sit on it while the car is in motion. Go Figure ;)

I don't think you'll find a car today that will appreciate in value the way that one has over the years.

They will eventually because they last longer and make so many, it will just take twice as long for modern collectibles to go up like that because a ton of them have to vanish first.

That's about right. All I have to do is hold on to my Camaro for 96 more years and it will be worth a fortune!! Lol

Yes it did which also attached to the frame. The part they are sitting on was adjustable for more or less down force. It is truly amazing that back in the day a lot of the Daytona's and Superbirds sat on the lots as no one wanted them. Different story today. So I have read and heard with the nose cone it is still today one of (if not the only) most aerodynamic vehicles ever built. Scared the he** out of Nascar which eventually banned them.

Take a look at the Kelly Blue Book values on C4 Corvettes

None of the stuff being manufactured today will ever be worth much, unless is is part of a very limited release

Idk the c4 is possibly never going to happen just because even when there are none left it just never was a sought after body style.
