Who's staying up to preorder the new iPhone?

Thanks for the heads up on that site I think I might use that if I decide to get the new iPhone. Just not sure which size screen I'll like better so I'm gonna have to wait.

Edit: those sites are legit right? Don't want to get scammed.

Very legit... I have used them 4 times now for phones. Just get a quote for your item from their site, then they'll provide a pre-paid shipping label. Send it to them, they'll check it out to make sure it is in the same condition you said it was, and you'll get paid! :dblthumb2:

My iPhone 6+ will be coming in 3-4 weeks :( stupid Apple.com weren't working right last week. I'm not in a rush to get mines as I had lots of problems with my iPhone 5 launch edition and it gives me lots of time to shop around for a case and screen protector.

The best part about iPhone is I'll prolly be able to sell my old one (5) on EBay for more than my new one costs (contract price).

Which is why it's so easy to just upgrade every 2 years. :props:

I won't argue that Apple is behind the curve on tech, but honestly that doesn't bother me. I've had the Iphone 3, 4, 5, and now the 6+ on its way and I haven't had an issue yet. That's what keeps me sticking with Apple, not the latest and greatest tech. I'm also a big Honda fan if that says anything. :D

Serious question, do the Droid and other smart phones sell as well after 2 years like the iPhones? Never looked into it I guess....

They may be behind, but they wait for stuff to work, correctly , every time, all the time.

Great, thanks for the help. My AT&T has a trade in deal they said I could get up to $200 for my 5 so I might just do that.

To all of those who are getting the 6+, I suggest heading to your local phone shop and hold the cases for the two new iPhones. The 6+ is MUCH larger than I expected and I'm not sure I even want a phone that big. The regular 6 seemed like a happy medium between the 5 and 6+.

I just made some. :)

I was just going to print a 3D model but it was a 3.5 hr job and all our printers were being used. :(

So what do you think of the sizes Rasky?
The 6+ doesn't bother me but I wonder if it'll be hard to take in and out of my pocket.

It is really large when it comes to the carrying it around in my pocket, which is the only thing I won't care for....make me miss those old Girbaud jeans from back in the day with the deep pockets! :D

That being said, when I compared my iPhone 5 with both of them, the 6+ just made more sense to me. My eyes are getting worse as I get older and it's harder to read small text up close now. I didn't think the 6 was a big enough step up and really wish they had sized one of them closer to the 5.1" screen of the Samsung Galaxy S5, as I feel that size is the best overall.

I don't use cases, only a screen protector, so getting in and out of my pocket won't be an issue. It's when you sit down that you have to make sure to shift it to one side or it will cut into your waste, making it a little uncomfortable.

Yes...every time...all the time. Oh wait...the iphone 5s was made because the iphone 5 had huge flaws, such as a crap mic that didnt work. Im sure an iphone 6s will be released in a few months.

In light of the fact that iphone releases have a history of being 1 year apart. What causes you to opine that a 6s is only a few months out?

Hard to argue that the 5s was released to address issues in the 5 when it had a full year run, and that s models typically follow a change in the number designation.

I've had every iPhone that's came out and I have had zero problems with any of them, along with my iPad and Apple home computer too.

What are/were the issues with the 5?

I'm thinking about picking up one,
that are trade-ins, on the 6.

If you need help trying to use some of its new features just ask an android user. We've had years of experience with it. lol :)

:iagree::iagree:Im the MAN I've had every generation of Android OS and would never consider an iphone, I've had two HTC's and the SIII and S4. Easy battery replacement and micro sd card. Can't uprage memory or change the battery on iphone in seconds can you?

Beats me. I was just responding to the seemingly erroneous assertion that the "5s was made because the iphone 5 had huge flaws."
FWIW my 4 is running fine on ios7. I just ordered a 32gb 5c since they dropped in price after the announcement of the 6. (we ain't exactly on the bleeding edge in our house):o

Dunno. My iPhone 5 works perfect after 2 years of abuse. However, there is a "campaign" that some 5s had bad batteries - which I likely fall into his crowd.

My battery has had it. But, it's plugged in constantly and gets heavy use (check my post count). The good news is I believe Apple is replacing the batteries for free.

Just found out I get a battery for free. Another Apple perk - they support the product as I explained above.

I've had my iPhone 5 for about 2 years and recently I was having troubles with the battery, it just wouldn't last very long and it would die on me all of sudden when it wasn't plugged in. I called Apple to find out about how much it would cost to replace my battery. The guy told me that my phone had a serial number that was known to have issues with the battery and that it could be replaced for free even though it was out of warranty.

He set up an appointment for me at an Apple store nearby to have it replaced. I went on the day of my appointment and they didn't have the battery in stock. The store called me a couple of days later to say they had the battery in stock. It took about an hour for them to replace it.

It's better to call Apple and set up an appointment at an Apple store and then call the store to make sure they have the battery in stock.

I backed up the contents of my phone on iTunes before I went but the replacement worked without a hitch. When I picked up the phone everything was working fine as if nothing happened. Phone works like normal again.
