I have black plastic interior on my 15 TLX it tends to get small whitesh/gray marks on it. Anyone have any recommendations for cleaning and protecting it in order to prevent these?

Thanks!

1z Einszett cockpit cleaner or any diluted APC down to a 10:1 or so dilution should work. For protection any sort of dressing such as CarPro PERL diluted or one made for vinyl/rubber/etc...

Test it on an inconspicuous spot first.

Perfectly said af90, thought I will add groits garage, and or meguiars interior detailer are great choices along with 303 aerospace protectant

I've heard a lot of good things about 303, but many people say that meguiars leaves a greasy shine and I should avoid it?

Chemical Guys Silk Shine. It is amazing for interiors.

A TLX huh? Hah I have one too! The first in Georgia to take delivery. Such a serious interior! I love it!! As for cleaning mine I have used a number of products on the interior so far. However my favorites for cleaning are (I have not used 1Z Cockpit yet.. heard nothing but good things) Detailer's Pro Series - Total Interior Cleaner & Chemical Guys Uber Clean... both clean every piece great and leave no streaking. From the silver running along the radio to the wood by the cup holders. I then like to use Wolfgang - Vinyl & Rubber Protectant on the dash and portions of the door panel that aren't leather. I could go on and on but do a search and it will lead you to a treasure trove of information. One other thing I can say is find a product you like and use it! There are enough products out there to make your head explode.

What color TLX did you get? Exterior and interior? Posted any pictures online yet? Mine is Graphite Luster Metallic and Silverstone on the interior. If you want to check out some pics here's a link.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/preludevtec01/sets/72157646454950947/

Enjoy the TLX!! :dblthumb2:

James may be talking about Megs Quik Interior Detailer--which isn't greasy at all, it's great for maintenance wipe downs and even safe for LCD screens.

Prelude had some great suggestions. You could also try using an interior sealant like Ultima Interior Guard Plus (UIPG+) or WG Cockpit Trim Sealant--both of those have many in-depth reviews and all those who use them, love them.

I'll check out some of those suggestions and see what how they work out. I don't have any pictures of the interior, but it is black as well.

Thanks all

Now my neck hurts from looking at the pics ... nice looking car though :D

Nice looking TLX. I am full of disappointment with this car, as Honda/Acura has forgotten that they have one of the best manual transmissions on the planet and refused to put one in this car. Well, that, and the lack of exhaust tips...lol.

Anyway, I have an 09 TSX 6MT in Crystal Black Pearl with black interior. I use 303 with a MF towel and it does a great job! The black interior, especially the dash shows every little speck of dust and fuzz that isn't black. I'd say give it a quick wipedown once a week or so and you should be good.

What drivetrain did ya go with?

My garage: 2014 RLX, 2012 MDX, my 2010 TSX, and a Porsche Cayman S. So three of the four are Acura and I use 1Z Cockpit and love it! If you want something OTC then Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer works pretty well too.
