2011 GM Zafira: Extreme Makeover + Pinnacle Black Label Coatings

Esse e o cara. Amazing work Tato. Your write up is the best of the best. Thank God detailers like you in Brazil take your time to document everything.

SuperB!

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for kind words Francisco, comments like yours are what boosts our energy towards keep detailing... Muito obrigado!

Amazing work as usual Tato. Have you followed up with any owners of cars you have coated regarding waterspotting? I am still having issues with waterspots on PBL coated cars I have done. I have put CarPro Spotless to good use this season since we are in the rainy season in Thailand right now. Even the cars I have applied PBL Synergy on top of the coating gets waterspots as well. Just wondering what kind of results you are getting in Brazil since we have similar weather.

Dear, thanks for comment. I'm noticing what you're saying depending on season... however, it's happening with pretty much any LSP I may use - the lack of rain for long periods always brings a 'harsh rain' in a first moment that generally is very acidic and leave it's marks. That's why we put protection on our cars, to avoid those marks to form permanent stains, and also to be 'easily removed' using products like Spotless, or even some non-abrasive cleansing polish.

Beautiful work and fantastic photo documentation.

Thanks Dan, I appreciate your comment.

Amazing transformation!

:props: Thank you very much!

Kind Regards.

Thank you so very much, Mark! Your posts always helped me getting ideas to put in practice while working, and the Rupes Washer mod you sent me earlier also played it's role in this detail!

Glad you enjoyed, count on me.

Kind Regards.

Excellent write-up! Thank you for sharing! That is an amazing difference before and after!

that's some serious neglect. Great work as always. Did the spotless take the spots off the glass, or was that more from the clay and polishing?
Kind of funny. I did a Silver CRV last weekend, the color seemed to change as I was working on it. I see the same thing in the your picture of I believe is a front fender. It looks like a different color when you got done.

Hi Dave, how are you doing? The results achieved on glass (squeaky clean, streak-free, smooth and reflective - as glass) was a result from the sum of approaches.

Spotless took off (and keep taking of!) ~ALL waterspots on glass.

I do a thorough clay just after spotless, this is 'routine'.

Third, the polishing removed marring, and helped pulling out everything embedded.

Unfortunately I couldn't understand your 'color changing issue', sorry.

I appreciate you taking your time to share your opinion here, thanks!

Kind Regards.

Unbelievable transformation Tato.. apologies if you have already stated.

Was this a one day or two day job?? Would of taken mere mortals one week, so I'm curious

thanks in advance

Nice work as always Rafael, that was an amazing turnaround!

Dear, thank you for kind words. The car arrived on monday and tuesday night it was coated for curing overnight. It was then reviewed on friday for minor touch-ups where needed and delivered. Being a mere mortal, you're right - let's judge it took me one (hard) week!, but totally worth in my opinion.

We generally demonstrate 2 stages in the picture showdown, the Before and the After. However, in between are (generally) at least 2-3 interventions, if not more; dedication is the key.

The preparation definitively took a lot more time than the polishing / coating steps. I've also spent considerable amount of time 'walking around the vehicle' inspecting every flaw and tracing my work plan.

I appreciate your comment, hope I've answered your question.

Nice work as always Rafael, that was an amazing turnaround!
