Whoa there.... leseee..... Megs 156 & DG 951 for totally different reasons. Megs is cheap, and is a good enough product. But after using 951 I stopped putting 156 on my own vehicles. Duragloss is VERY slick, and may actually be an upgrade to offering Megs (although it's surely not more expensive). Also (as I've said before ) I keep both as "virgin" as well as "polycharged" on my shelf for my personal vehicles (and a select few). Call me OCD, or just nuts....

Then when you want to really spend money..... Both BF Wet Diamond Polymer Spray AND/OR WG Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant are what I'll use on the garage queens.

So do you use DG or Meg's?

Duragloss Aquawax all the way.
Diluted 1:1 as a drying aid, recommended to me from Jerry at Duragloss.
Used straight and undiluted as a spray wax

That's really going to depend on how frequently you are using it. Are you using it as a drying aid, just a spray wax, etc. Whats the 2 gallon deal?

mostly as a drying aid. I have a black pickup also and wash all in direct sunlight. I usually clay, buff and #845 in the spring. So the rest of the year i would only need to spray wax...
2 gallons and spray bottle for 50$ for the Megs or 1 gallon + spray bottle for 24$+4=28$ here @ AGeek

Optimums Spray Wax
Prima's Hydro Max
Carpro's Reload V2
Duragloss Aquawax

I have only really tried 2 different spray waxes, the original NXT Booster Wax and UQW. The NXT did apply and remove easily enough, but the longevity just wasn't there ... it didn't last at all. Now along comes the UQW and it's a completely different animal ... applies and removes like a dream, smells great, has durability and improves the gloss/depth of the finish. Best of all, it's OTC so I can get it practically anywhere and not have to stockpile it so I don't run out like I would with many of the others.

I use the UQD for my "wax as you dry" product, mainly when the car starts drying faster than I can get to it.

Thanks, this is one of the main reasons I want a spray wax, if you have ever tried to wash a black pickup in the direct sunshine you know you only have seconds before the water spots start appearing :/
I have read and considered all of the comments. Thanks and keep them coming :)

I had a black on black, 1989 Camaro that I had polished to a mirror finish to where that even a cat walking across the hood would leave scratches from their fur, so I know exactly what you're dealing with.

It really depends if you want a spray wax that actually contains
some amount of one or more of the "typical" natural waxes.

How much (%) of that spray-wax product is comprised of those
natural waxes may also be a determining factor for you. :dunno:

Bob

And with that thought in mind Bob.....

PoorBoys has a QW+ that I bought a couple bottles of many moons ago on BOGO, that actually has carnauba in it. I literally hate it! (The QW+ that is.)

So do you use DG or Meg's?

I use both. :dblthumb2: (Just use AW much more often.)

For a drying aide I've found that AW works better though.

Both have a nice shine, AW is a LOT slicker 'feeling'. (And it may actually be more durable as well.)

Agree with Tony. For a true spray wax, I have used Meg's 156 (Ultimate Quick Wax) on a dry car, or AW on wet car as a drying aid with some protection. For more protection, like a substitute for paste wax, Prima Wax As You Dry is awesome - I have BFWD and BFMS as a base on my car and use the above as toppers. For pure maintenance as a drying aid on wet car when you don't want to create cumulative buildup, AW mixed with DG detail spray (921) at 3:1 or 2:1 (921 to AW) makes the drying towel absolutely glide over the surface.

$$ 50$ for 2 gallons!?! Okay now I'm leaning towards this! Plus you can use it in the sunshine :) that's a big plus for me since my 3 car garage has every thing but car space :/

Same here. D156 is truly an awesome product, especially at the $20/gal that it was being sold for. It is not finicky and works streak-free in just about every environmental condition. A lot of spray waxes are finicky, but Meguiars really did their homework on this one and came out with something that anyone can use successfully.

I had to scroll through his to see if I already commended or not, LOL.

D156. Great value. Easy to use. Adds gloss and slickness. Fills *slightly* and leaves enough protection for a few weeks. Beads are insane for a spray wax. Cheap enough and easy enough to use after every wash.

I do like DG Aqua Wax very much .I also like Megs Ultimate Spray Wax and Mothers spray wax. A friend of mine gave me a spray detailer from Dubert Chemical and a spray wax called Aqua Glow , also from Dubert , and they are also great.Accordingto the labels the spray wax will last 4 months and the detailer will last 1 month. I use both products more often then that.

MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET D156, Express Spray Wax

Intended Use: Automotive
Specific Use: Sprayable wax
SECTION 2: INGREDIENTS

Ingredient % by Wt
WATER 88-98%

CONDITIONERS Trade Secret < 5%

according to this, its on average 95% water, no wonder it works so well when wet!?!

Prima Hydro MAX. Very easy to apply, more durable than most and slick as hell.

This caught my eye more than once. Is it overkill to use it as a post wash booster? I was under the impression it was more of a LSP type product.
