That's called "diminished value". If you wreck your car and the insurance company repairs it, you also get a check for diminished value. Not to mention a good paint job, on a NEW vehicle would require removing all the trim and would run at least $3K~$5K to do it right.

If the dealership was guilty of the original buffer trails and swirls , what makes you think they will do better the second time around ? Time to move on and either hire a pro or get your feet wet and DIY. Is it worth your time and aggravation to continue dealing with the dealerships poor customer service ? Would you continue to return to a restaurant that served lousy food until they got it right ? Just my old mans opinion.
 
It's time to do it yourself. Well worth the time & initial money. Plus you get to know it was done right, and done by you!

I couldn't have said it any better. All the time driving back and forth, gas etc, could've already bought a nice da kit and done it yourself.

My last post showed that a real pro can correct the paint with little effort, I'm going to contact the dealership and let them know how successful the other detailer was at fixing the issue, and 'request' they foot the bill for the detail because... the original scratches were put in by the dealership and the detail shop the dealer used to fix that made it worse.

So you return to the dealer and they reply that all the cars on their lot have swirls and that's their standard. Your time has to be worth something. As you have read on this forum , dealers that can properly remove swirls and surface defects are few and far between. Their average customer doesn't know a swirl from a squirrel ( a wise saying from Mike Phillips ). Heck most dealers won't even properly wash a car. You are on a forum full of members willing to assist you in the proper repair and maintenance of your new ride. Personally I would chaulk this up as a learning experience and move on. Life is too short to spend it chasing ones tail.
