I'm going to check the various parks on Higgins E of 53 and see which one is best for us. I'm going to look for a shaded area but if not an area kinda towards the back away from things.

While I'm at it, do we have a preference to the day, Sat or Sun? I know some might not be able to make it if it's one day or the other but let's hear from you guys.

I work nearly every Saturday morning, but with enough notice I can get a substitute. Saturday would be my preference though.

Going to keep an eye on this thread. I would be a noob :) Only been into "proper" detailing for about a year when we got my wife's black car which brought me here and MOL. Still not a pro by any means but I have learned so much and gained alot of knowledge from both places. I am not as close as you all as I am in the central part of the state, but we don't have stuff like this down here, ever, so if I ever wanted to go to something like this, I would have to come up. So, I will keep an eye on the date and time. And, Portilos sealed the deal. lol
 
Your the kinda guy we want Exp and because the location is near Schaumburg its easy to find. Is there something product wise you'd like to see/try out?

My vote is for June. If we're gonna be outside in a park, it might be a bit warmer than May. Less like to rain too.

I agree with this Kevin.

Now as far as a second one at the house/garage that can be in the late summer/early fall as far as I'm concerned. I'll be going to the Dragon earlier this year (I'll talk to you guys about that at the 1 st meet) and I'd be doing "Dragon prep" for that, so I'd be busy doing some basics to my car there.

I like how this shaping up, much looser of an atmosphere for sure. You show up and do what you want, when you want and how you want. Looking to watch, no problem, wanna see a product in action in real world useage, again, no problem. Maybe you've talking with a local about swapping products, this is the place for it. Maybe you've got something done to your car and wanna see and/or hear it, this is for you💡

Well, I am not really sure what I would want to see. I think just being able to come to something like this would be interesting enough in itself. I have pretty much gone all in on the Megs Detailers line. I would be interested in learning more about coatings. Would like to may do that to my wifes care. Also am picking up little side jobs here and there from people at work or word of mouth. I am just a weekender.

Spent over an hour on my car last weekend. Got about 1 day out of it before it was covered in salt again. Unless my car gets absolutely filthy, I'm not touching it until.... March.
 
March. Cold. 40s this weekend. Just about nice enough to get the 2 buckets out....:autowash:
