Well I am back after a long cold winter. I have a few write-ups that I need to post but I will start with this one first.
This past week I got to work on a 2006 Porsche Boxster S. The owner has had this car since new and wanted to keep it in pristine condition. We opted for a full correction, interior detail, soft-top protection and paint coating.
Process
Exterior:
Wheels: Griots Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner with various brushes
Tires: Zep Formula 505 Cleaner & Degreaser
Wheel Wells: Zep Citrus Cleaner (4:1)
Pre-wash: CG Citrus Wash & Gloss via foam cannon
Wash: CG Citrus Wash & Gloss via 2 Bucket Method
Decontamination 1: CarPro Trix
Decontamination 2: CarPro Polyshave Towel
Dry: Waffle Weave Towels / Forced Air
Tape: 3m Automotive Tape
Paint Thickness: Taken using Digital Coating Thickness Gauge
Polish: Scholl Concepts S3 w/ Orange Buff n Shine Pads via Rupes LHR15ES (5.5” pads) and GG6 (4” pads)
Surface Prep: 15% IPA Wipedown
Paint Protection: Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0
Glass Protection: CarPro Flyby30
Wheel Protection: CarPro Hydr02
Tire Dressing: Tufshine Tire Clearcoat
Trim Dressing: Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant
Glass: Sonax Clear Glass via Glass Towel
Exhaust Polishing: Chemical Guys Heavy Duty Metal Polish
Interior:
Vacuum: Shop Vac
Trim & Door Jams, Carpet, Seats: Steam cleaned
Vinyl / Plastic Protection: Wolfgang Cockpit Trim Sealant
Leather: Sonax Leather Foam
Glass: Sonax Clear Glass via Glass Towel
Engine Bay:
Engine Components: Zep Citrus Cleaner (4:1) with various brushes
Engine Dressing: Sonus Trim & Motor Kote
Convertible Top
Cleaning: Vacuumed then scrubbed with APC + various brushes
Protection: 303 Fabric Guard
Total Time: 11 Hours
Before Photos:
The vehicle straight out of storage so it was fairly clean. The vehicle has approximately 70,000 kms it did have a fair amount of rock chips on the front. The owner was particularly interested in getting some cat scratches filled and leveled out.

Exhaust had a large build up of soot.

Wheels and tires were in good condition with a small amount of brake dust buildup

The owner drives top down 90% of the time so the interior was a little dusty/dirty.

During Photos:
Wheels, tires and wheel wells were cleaned first. The wheel cleaner was left to dwell for a few minutes then scrubbed with various brushes.

Tires were also cleaned and scrubbed.

Vehicle was foamed to help loosen the dirt and reduce inducing swirls when washing the paint.

Wheels were sealed with CarPro Hydro2

Once the vehicle was washed and decontaminated with synthetic clay it was brought into the garage. I started with the interior first. 50/50 shot of the driver side floor mat after a gentle steam clean.

The leather seats were also steam cleaned.

Once the interior was finished I moved on to inspecting the paint and finding out the best polish/pad combination. Here is the true condition of the paint under LED lighting.

50/50 shot of the headlight correction

Paint after correction.
