I'm an Amazon Prime member so I've been spoiled by VERY fast delivery times with "free" shipping.

Like others, I find the shipping costs on AG to be too high. I have wanted certain products here on AG, but find similar products on Amazon due to the high shipping costs.

I do understand as a smaller business they need to offset all the costs associated with shipping. But AG has lost business from me multiple times due to the cost.

I also buy from a local place here in the burgh $6.95 flat shipping on everything. That`s why I spend the extra time to search to see i am getting the best deal. I try and buy the stuff I need not buy more stuff to get free shipping.

I'm a Prime member also (5 years) and enjoy the fast two day shipping. We seem to forget about the $99 membership fees until it's time to renew. That said, I see myself being a prime member for a long time to come. If Autogeek had some type of membership program... I'd sign up today!

I am also a 5 year Prime Member. Last night, I placed an order for a Wolfgang product with Amazon...no it isn't eligible for Prime Member shipping, since the order is fulfilled by PBMA. Why i placed the order with Amazon was because the shipping here was $14.95 and the shipping with Amazon was $7.95, to me it was a no brainer......Even with the current sale going on, it was cheaper to go with Amazon.

There have been many orders I wanted to place here, but the shipping cost are just too over the top. I am not a pro , I just keep our three cars looking good...so free shipping for $150.00 doesn't help me. I do not need to stock up on products or just buy stuff to get up to the $150.00 threshold. What I do need to is shop for the best deal.

Hopefully someone at PBMG reads these posts !!!!

Sorry $4.95 shipping all products Conus...

I only buy from AG when shipping is free with no minimums, which is rare. Otherwise there are alternatives with flat rate shipping under $6.

This subject sits sorely with me. I've been declined on a price/shipping match in the past by AG, and thats why I never use this site to shop anymore. I live in HI, yea I know its far, but its the the USofA! USPS Ships here at the same rate as ANY CONUS state.

I now use about 4-5 different sites to order products. Yea, its a hassle but money talks!

So far this year on just ONE of my sites i've spent $1485. Amazon must be at least that as well (I dont order from PBMG on amazon either because of shipping prices).

Problems could be solved easily: USPS FLAT RATE SHIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Order 1 Gal Hyper dressing
AG = $40-50 shipped to HI
Everywhere else = $15.80 USPS Flat rate shipping large box

USPS Flate rate boxes are .00 All PBMG need pay for is peanuts and tape. AND USPS will PICK UP from the business location and drop off empty boxes FOR FREEEEEEEE.

Like Mike Phillips recently said in a thread recently "Don't make your customer WORK at doing business with you. Or in other words, don't make your customer WORK at giving you their money. You want to make it EASY, not hard."

Well Mike needs to take a trip into the business office and give them this speech. All this playing games with discounts, free shipping, fine print, etc is just too time consuming for a guy like me. I rather buy at a guaranteed discount (membership plan based on how much money is spent), pay for flat rate shipping, and be done with it.

I'm a BIG FAN of AutoGeek, but I AGREE COMPLETELY with jrs1418. So far this year, I've bought more car care products at Amazon (the same products sold at AutoGeek) simply because of the reduced shipping costs.

Why? Because I live in Alaska, and Free Shipping does not apply.

Problem could be solved easily: USPS FLAT RATE SHIPPING. USPS Ships here at the same rate as ANY CONUS state.

This year I've made at least 4 orders at AutoGeek, and agreed with the high shipping costs (using the USPS option), only to receive an email a few days later asking for additional $$$. That's not right, and I cancel every one of these requests. This year alone, that is over $2,000 in canceled orders (I usually don't order unless I have $400-500 in products).

If AutoGeek is offering Free Shipping, the least they could do is include Alaska and Hawaii as part of the USA, and use the United States Postal Service FLAT RATE SHIPPING. Did I mention that USPS Ships here at the same rate as ANY CONUS state???

I would certainly buy more from AG if they did.

I like getting packages delivered to my front door. :props:

As such:
I will always give "5 Stars"...to the online vendors that
I shop at...as soon as I receive the ordered-items:
no matter how long it takes; no matter their shipping
& handling charges.

If ever I dont like their particular Business model's
arrangements, well, I just go somewhere else next time.

IMO:
The act of airing any grievances, I perceive to have
regarding vendor's S&H, etc., on any online Forum...
Surely lays bare: my lack of shopping-around prowess.

I may be in the minority. But I do place smaller orders as needed from AG.

I see the cost of shipping as the cost of my membership to this site and being able to get easy access to folks like Mike & Nick who provide me the technical assistance I may need along the way. I can guarantee Amazon (yes I am a prime member) can't provide me the detailing advice I need.

Nice post. The amount of information and help here is priceless. You can't call Amazon and ask what AIO, or whatever, they would recommend for you.

True but you can get a refund from Amazon within 30 days...

then I'll buy your used AIO from Amazon Warehouse Deals
at pennies on the dollar with free Prime shipping :D

That said...

I'm not complaining about AG shipping
as I know how to find discount shipping codes when AG isn't running a promotion.

Another example....shipping is way too high..they should offer USPS..

wish my shipping cost was so little money, I will order something everyday Lol :D

Anyone's silly to think that AG is loosing money on 20% off + free shipping sales. I'll add one more vote that shipping charges kill most of my impulse shopping and even when I actually need something, I'm forced to wait out a sale. Maybe that's part of the thrill: trying to remember to check the site each day for good sales (since the email alerts I signed up for never make it). Of course, that only adds to the frustration when I miss a good one.

I've also zeroed my cart due to shipping costs.

This section seems to be a way for AG to get feed back, so as to stay competitive. It does not seem to bother enough (zeroed carts), so as to promote change.

Mimicking Amazon Prime - $99.0 yearly, get's 2 day shipping free, would prove profitable for AG.

Also I hate the "peanuts" it's difficult to unpack, without making a mess. LOSE the peanuts, be the BEST on all ASPECTS of the sale, you will be rewarded!

Also way too many RESTRICTIONS for discounts & shipping.

Ask for no peanuts when you check out. I hate peanuts too. They should be banned.

Perfect....Exactly what we are talking about.

It would be nice to see someone from AG step in and join the friendly discussion
