I only order from them if they have a special or my order is over $150. Otherwise I use amazon, or some other place with cheaper shipping. $16 to ship an 8oz wax is ridiculous. I'm on the West coast I can overnight anything under a pound to anyplace west of Texas for less than that.

As someone that is involved with all the different sites under the PBMG corporate umbrella, we offer something for everyone. Our manufacturer sites (ie: PinnacleWax.com) are always offering killer deals on shipping, plus Autopia-CarCare.com always has free shipping over $150.

Beyond that, what other competitor of ours offers everything we do?

• Free online discussion forum
• Massive YouTube Channel
• How-to guides on the website
• Detail Fest
• Cars & Coffee
• One-stop shop for all your car care needs
• Mike Phillips
• Price & Promotion Match Promise

At any given time we have a coupon code floating around for at least 15% off your order; the discount practically covers the cost of shipping on orders under $150. For orders that are greater than $150, you can double dip and receive 15% off PLUS the free shipping.

For those of you that don’t shop with us, we’ll still let you voice your opinion and ask for help using our FREE discussion forum.

Im not sure its whining. Or complaining. From what I see its CONSUMERS voicing their opinions to a RETAILER. Im sure we have had the consumer / detailer discussion before and contrary to what you all believe in your head the CONSUMER/CUSTOMER is the one who sets prices. If the prices are too high you wont have any sales and therefore go out of business (eventually) now I am not saying we are trying to run AGO out of business cause that would SUCK big time. What we are saying as consumers is that their shipping prices are too high and we are choosing to spend our money else where. The bonus for AG is that we are trying to let them know so they can fix the problem if they would like. If not, they know why then.

Man. I live in California, so a 8.75% tax here in San Jose is painful. I only buy from AG if its a 20%, and I always buy the 100 dollar gift certs for 80 dollars.

20% + 20% + 8.75% = 48.75% savings whenever I order. Order everything you need for the next 6 months at one time. Imagine my last order basically had me paying 12.50 for a gallon of D156.

I hope AG never charges CA tax. The week long shipping to California from Florida is well worth the wait for the discount.

You are losing sales because you gouge on slow shipping methods, what other competitor does that? :dblthumb2:

Sorry to disagree with what seems like a consensus among newbies and drive-by posters, but in my opinion, what AG might lose in one-off sales of a $20 product at a loss is more than made up for by sales to dedicated weekenders, sideliners and pros who spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year here.

The professional detailers and active, advanced amateurs who continue to shop here not only spend a lot of money here, they get to take advantage of sales, shipping discounts and the wonderful resources AG has made available for free -- to anyone. In return, many of these dedicated customers turn around and help others continue to develop their skills by contributing to the forum and getting novices interested in becoming better detailers. In my opinion this site flourishes because of the symbiosis.

So if all you're after is a cut-rate price on a loss-leader product, nobody is forcing you to buy it here, nor are they deterring you from being an active contributor in these free discussion forums, but nobody will shed a tear if you move along elsewhere.

Heh I tried to ninja-edit to add spacing and clarify a sentence. Oh well. :)

Hey, Kyle, how ya been? Yeah I think the horse is dead enough.

We cannot, and do not expect to please everyone - and that's not our goal. Our goal is to keep our loyal customers happy and to win new customers with our selection of products, the services we provide, deals and promotions, price match, etc.

For those of you that don't shop at Autogeek, please feel free to continue to use our free online discussion forum to ask questions and promote work of your own. We certainly won't come to your website, blog or place of business and complain.

Anyone that wanted to express an opinion in this thread has already done so. I'm shutting it down. :dblthumb2:
