what's your weather currently like?

Ok, I just went on ADN and they are saying it’s going to get way worse

18 foot seas and stuff, hurricane force winds, etc

We have the Alaska Range to the west that moderates a lot of that coastal weather

We lived out there for 8 years and weather can get extreme

But this sounds biblical

Western Alaska braces for historic storm that could cause flooding, power outages

Do you have any backup (generator) power, Mike?

I doubt it

We are staying in a condo and I know zero about it

Luckily it’s not that cold yet

More rain, but I am not gonna complain. Rather have it rain a lot than have a drought

This is Bethel Alaska, where we lived for 8 years

It’s on the Kuskokwim River, second longest river in Alaska

It’s not supposed to look like this

That's a sign on the top of the seawall and it is normally 5-15 feet above the river depending on the tide

They are 50 miles up river from the ocean but they are still very tidal

The remnants of the typhoon are kicking everyone’s a$$ out there on the west coast of Alaska

We have lots of friends and family up and down the Kusko

Scary

Wet and windy-- we got a storm brewing-- headed our way
Luckily the path changed from the forecasted two days ago
But about 3-4 hrs dead south of me will see the brunt of a cat 4- I might see bands of a cat 1-- 50-60 mph gusts and about 30 mph steady

Sadly, it is changing in PA. Evenings are cool. Dark at 7pm. Turned the heat on yesterday evening. HATE to see winter on it's way...

Turned the heat on yesterday evening.
NO- you got to be kidding?

About 40 yrs ago I was renting from a guy who use to live in minnie sota ( everything is better , bigger ,smarter there ) & I asked him why he moved to Fl. He said his wife didnt like it-- the last straw for her was when she had to wear a jacket to the 4th of july fireworks one night

A life long car, boat, detail, buddy is visiting me in AZ while his winter home in Fort Myers is getting pounded.

The last 5-6 days here have been almost perfect.

Low-Mid 70's wth zero humidity, and hardly a cloud in the sky.

I said "almost perfect" because it has been a little breezy/windy.

Can't go fishing in the wind.:fish

Every weekend can't be sunny and 80. Getting blowback from the hurricane. Rain & cool. No washing or cutting grass today. Maybe Sunday. Therefore, I declare today MILLER TIME!

65 and sunny today. Near 70 tomorrow.

I'm on vacation, and Blackfish season starts tomorrow. Soooooo....... Guess where I will be??
