This is my quick take on the new Pinnacle Exhaust Cleaner & Brightener.

You never finished the thought about how it compares to P21s Polishing Soap?

So far I have found the performance in cleaning and protecting to be very similar. The on thing with the Pinnacle EC&B is that you don't need to get the sponge wet to use it. So that is one nice advantage.
 
I tend to clean the exhaust tips while I'm doing the wheels so I already have the hose in my hand so that's a non issue for me. I'm very pleased with the P21s PS and though the Pinnacle product looks good, there's nothing compelling about it's performance to warrant a change. And there's the price delta if that's part of the equation for anyone. Thanks for the update Troy.
 
Be interesting to see price comparison. P21S will last my lifetime just doing my exhaust tips. It also comes off with water leaving them surgically clean for sealing. Does the Pinnical come off the same?

I tend to do my tips before I begin my wash process. But I agree that P21s is very hard to beat. In fact I expect P21s to be a fixture in my cabinet for a long time to come.

I feel like a price comparison is very obvious. P21s is 10oz and the Pinn EC&B is only 5oz. The other issue is my P21s has lasted 2+ years already and is still 3/4+ full.

But the Pinn EC&B is another option. And we all like to have options.
 
Thanks for the demo. I'm not switching from P21S Polishing soap. I have had the same can for years, it seems to be 95% full and works great. Ditto in the applicator.

My exhaust cleaning process is Wash with wheels. Use P21S polish soap with wash. Rinse use Tarminator or tardis as necessary. Polish with Optimum Metal Polish Or Never Dull or most recently Polish Angel Palladium.

Sadly these are a constant maintenance area as they get sooted up pretty quickly.

The benefit of Pinnacle is that you don't need water to remove it. Apply, work in and remove. The only thing I don't like about P21S is that is leaves a white residue at times. With Pinnacle it doesn't. Plus Pinnacle leaves a protective coating behind that P21S and some metal polishes don't.

For the new applicator pad, have you ever considered cutting the pad into small size squares? I know that sometimes it has helped me in the past. I know that from dealing with Lake County in the past, they are pretty open and helpful when it comes to any questions, or product feedback. As a matter of fact, when I was having some pad issues, they did take the time to call me to get some feedback along with sending me a new pad. Dealing with vendors from time to time, I will say that they are excellent to deal with and are very proactive and progressive to making changes to their products to make them better.

I considers it. But I don't want to cut up this new applicator.

I am thinking that a thinner smaller applicator would allow for cleaning in between duel tips but the one that is provided is nice.
