I, too, liked what I saw about the new MT300, when I researched DAs - - the ergonomics, the gradual start, etc. I was ready to buy it, but I began to see reports about power cord problems. What bothered me most was that I learned that the power cord issue was a problem with an earlier product, so it wasn't like Meguiar's should have been caught unaware with the MT300. That made the decision for me. It's clearly their issue. I didn't want to experience a power cord issue on day #366, and have to pay to have it fixed, so I bought the GG6 (lifetime warranty!) instead.
Meguiar's is a great company. I trust and rely on many of their other products. They'll recognize the MT300 problem, and fix it, but it's too late for me, this time around.
Personally, I believe that Meguiar's should commit to fixing ALL MT300 power cord issues, regardless of the one year warranty period. This would restore my confidence in the company, and in this DA. In fact, if I knew that Meguiar's would fix the power cord in 1 or 2 or 3 years, I absolutely would have bought it anyway.
