Looking to buy new DA, need advice

Do you happen to own a G21? I hope so, other wise you have no right to make any comment what so ever about the quality of the tool. If you don't own one I think it's pretty bogus for you to be making these kind of comments about a quality company.

It is an excellent tool and a great system. I like my G21 way better than my Rupes 15, hands down. And as I own both I can make that comparison.

Rupes manufactures, Flex manufactures, GG puts a name on a Chinese manufactured item. Mike Phillips has been to the Rupes factory, the Flex factory, has he or anyone been to the GG one? Lol where is it? China? Go do a tour of the GG factory why don't you, thats if you can find it haha. You obviously not well versed on business ethics or quality, if you were we wouldn't be having this conversation. There's a sucker born...

The thing is - the GG6 is just a relabeled product, albeit a good one. They are sold in Europe under various names in various colors. You can buy them from China and call them whatever you want if you are willing to buy enough units. But, my opinion is, if you are buying a Griot's machine you are getting a decent machine.

However, you are doing nothing to support any future innovations in detailing or polishing. Griot's invents nothing. They sell decent products, but they are not innovators.

For me, I'd rather spend my dollars and support companies on the cutting edge who are going to bring new innovations to the market or something unique to the table.

You are sadly mistaken my friend. I sell packaging systems for a living. I've been in more manufacturing plants and distribution facilities in the past 25 years than you will ever be able to fathom. My daily life is like a show in the US here called " How it's Made "

Like people here talk about SEMA, I'm hopping on a plane to Vegas tomorrow to attend PACK EXPO.

PACK EXPO Las Vegas

When was the last time you closed a $200,000.00 deal? I know I did just last week, LOL.

You though are the born sucker. LOL, no biggie bro, it's all good.

So take a hike, you're the born sucker.

Yet the facts evade you...truth is staring you in the face and your still in denial...

Now quit harping on about what you do and counter the facts I and others have presented you-with facts. Or will you yet again entertain us all with another picture of your car which is identical to every other pic before it.

If you think advising others to purchase a $150 machine for almost $400 and compare it to actual premium pedigree companies is ethical you have bigger issues than polishers my friend.

Since we D1ck measuring...I've been an IT Corporate for the last 16 years. And employed by a Fortune 500 company for 5 of those years. I don't do $200 000 deals often, try $20 000 000 upward deals in Africa ;-)

Don't bring a butter knife to a gun fight... Just saying...

But you drive a VW golf? If I made that kind of $ I certainly would be driving something else.

IT aint' nuttin bro, you were talking about manufacturing and you got schooled dude!

It's amazing how you changed the subject from bashing a companies products you don't even own, to being schooled by me as I work in the manufacturing arena every day to talk about IT stuff like it's even remotely relevant. HEHEHE. Oh well I'm over you dude.

Just quit bashing companies whose products you don't own or used and we'll get along fine.

He doesn't make the big bucks he just works in the it grind dept. LOL. Or maybe that's considered a Ferrari n SA.

And since we're measuring I work for a Fortune 89 company, but that could be in the check out line too. Im the MAN

Lol never said I have that kinda money, but closed huge deals n made decent cash. Have taken a sabbatical from the Corporate world, have been travelling abroad alot the last few months and am detailing full time as of recent as I find it calming and therapeutic. As for the Golfs, I own a few along with other cars not in my signature. Have been a Golf fan since I was a kid and the passion for them hasn't left. I own a 1000hp drag Golf that I play around with too and a 68 Chevy El Camino that I'm currently restoring. Hope this answers your question.

Why do some put the label made in China as inferior? Should you see inferior products, perhaps it's the design & care less attitude about the ingredients used, by the designer. China is/was a low cost labor market, it's the designer, obligation to accept/reject, products that bear there name plates. More confident mfg(s) using low cost labor, generally CAN have a better warranty.

Lol.. Ok you win Mr Big Bucks...isnt it time you blessed us with a picture of your Black Hyundai???

How does the big throw perform on smaller panels like the bumpers/fenders/panels above the windows?

Do you use a smaller machine with a smaller pad for those?

I use my Flex PE8 or my PC with a 3" backing plate and pads. You can use the bigger machine. It's a little awkward, and your going to have places you have to do by hand. It's a lot easier and you'll have less hand polishing with the smaller machine.

Erm... You asked when last I closed a $200k deal and I responded honestly... Nothing gets past you hey...but as I said you win... Now back on topic... You advise on a GG, show me and others their R&D and Manufacturing strengths. I can show you Rupes and Flex.

I try to buy made in the USA as a practice. It's part of my personal business. But reality dictates it's not always feasible. You're point is well stated. And if we made a personal decision to stop buying anything made in China tomorrow in our personal lives we'd be w/o a lot of modern conveniences. I bought my wife a gift the other day online, it delivered, she opened and I noticed made in Cambodia.

It really is getting tiresome reading posts bashing the Griots polishers by people who have never seen one in person let alone used one!

All my moneys currently tied up in VW stock Im the MAN

I'll be the better person and let you have the last word. You may continue to post and I will not respond to you. Go ahead and knock yourself out...

I just thought those were interesting numbers. For a guy to close 20,000,000 dollar deals geez 10% is 2 mil 5% is 1 mil 1% is 200k. On commission

Why detail on the side ? If you do these kind of deals ?
