Tonight's project was a dealer BMW 335i with severe buffing damage. It looked fresh so I suspect it came from their body shop and was sent out to me for repairs. The entire car was covered from top to bottom. It took about 9 hours to fix all the damage. The paint was actually in great shape under all the damage, only a few RIDS popped up after compounding and it was surprisingly easy to finish down the paint. I was pleased with the out come, but my entire body aches from this car

Wow that car was trashed. Those holograms were awful. Great save.

On the hood I used both my rotary and pcxp. Used the Dewalt and a white finishing pad with M105 at 1000rpm. Made quick work of the damage. I was able to jump to my PC with a blue Hex logic pad and a CG finishing polish. Topped it with ez creme glaze and CG butter wax.

The remainder of the car I was able to use a combination of my PC with yellow or white pad with m105 and finished down with the same products as the hood.

I primarily used the yellow pad and M105 under the windows where 90% of the rids on the car were.

I sure hope you convinced the owner that he should probably refuse the free washes and details from that dealer.

After all that improvement it would be awful to have it ruined in half an hour.

It probably wasn't that perfect on the showroom floor when new. :dblthumb2:

Wow! Hard to believe cars get out of a shop like that :(

Nice turnaround!

Great work and save! Very nice! Man, that finish was hammered!

That before condition is unfreakinbelievable. Do those guys not have ANY worklights? How can they not see what they did?

Ouch! I did a 2010 lask week, with about the same level of damage - black...

The PC 7424xp, fitted with a green Hex Logic, dressed with M100 eviscerated the damage. I couldn't believe it.

I followed with M66.

I can't get the correction out of that Yellow pad like I do the green. Even on the 3401 I can't seem to pick up paint like I do with the green....

Here is the kicker, this happened in their body shop. They sent the vehicle to me for repairs lol.

It's the 4th or 5th that is fresh from being hammered by a rotary for retail on their lot.

I actually have another one to repair next week - except when the customer came back complaining, the dealer just sent them to my shop.
