Not anything special. Black 2010 ford focus and a 2012 jeep wrangler. Just preparing them for Michigan winters. I did a hand wash/wax interior detail with some rain x on the windshields


anyway the reason im posting this is just for those who are thinking about collinite products


I was introduced to collinite from this forum. What i read, reviews etc, the product seemed to good to be true. I watched videos on youtube etc.
I was skeptical to say the least..
think about it...
no fancy package
no fancy advertising
pretty small company by what i can see on the website
No special "shine enhancers, gloss boosters, nano technology" that we hear alot about these days with waxes and polishes


Well this is my 3rd time using it, and i must say the 845 should be illegal. Waxing a car should not be that easy. I feel like waxing a car should be labor intensive, this is no different the using a detailer spray (in terms of easy on/easy off)


This stuff goes on so easy, comes off easier!!! The shine is great, fantastic protection.

The paint is so smooth, beads water and it last for a long time!!!!!


If anybody out there is debating on collinite products...I highly recommend them! I cant see using anything else

Like i said earlier, the products go on so easy it should almost be illegal :dblthumb2:
 
Yeah , they pretty much have dominated there competitors with there secret sauce small little company out of Utica ny,been around along time.I wish they came out with a easy to use spray wax with some of the hydrophobic properties.They maybe contempt with what they already have already and sells a lot.so why enter the spraywax rat race,very good product that they offer and cheap as well.
 
I demonstrate to a customer ,they are floored with the protection it provides.
 
I also love 845, what a product. I used it to do a car back in May (that's never washed or maintained), and it's still beading strong!

I think you could basically put it in a spray bottle and use it as a "spray wax" as long as you keep it warm (90f+).

I mean like a transparent not as thick spraywax.
 
thats not a bad idea, i have never tried that


of course, when its ready to be applied its just like a thick water

I use a chemical guys foam pad to put it on and it goes on really fast

I think i average 15-20 min per car to put it on with good coverage


Wiping it off is just about as easy! I think a spray would get messy and you would have alot of extra work in going back and getting it off plastics/glass??
 
Good to see posts like this.... I have a few ounces of 845 that was given to me to try, I just been holding off cuz I been a little scared of over applying....I think I will be trying it very soon now

3 dime sized drops is enough for an entire front end!

Make certain to allow it to haze properly before removal.
 
Welcome to the #845 "family" - I have other products in my LSP arsenal(Meg's 26, Pinnacle Souveran, etc) but can't beat 845 for the reasons you've described - cost/ease of use/durability.
 
By the way - next time include in your subject line "Waxed both cars this weekend with #845" - you will often get more comments/views from forum members when they can immediately see from your subject line the work that was performed and/or products used :xyxthumbs:

be careful

You will be ordering some by the end. Honestly, the claims of easy on/easy off are 100% accurate

Put it on thin, you should just be able to see where you where when your done.

let it haze ( i usually do the entire vehicle , then remove)

enjoy really smooth paint, with fantastic protection.

My favorite is to use a spray of quick detailer on the microfiber to remove, not that its needed, but it just a little something extra
 
I applied 845 about 6 weeks ago. Just this last week I used 476. It was more difficult to remove. Even though I thought I was putting it on thin, guys told me to go thinner. So on the second coat I did go thinner and I didn't wait as long for it to haze. In fact. It barely hazed at all. It came off extremely easy. For applying 476 id recommend waiting no longer than 5 minutes before removal, especially if it's your first time. After that, you can adjust to what works for you. Or just do one panel at a time at first. Just don't apply to the whole vehicle and let it sit for 45 minutes. You might regret it. Awesome stuff, but requires a little more attention than 845.
 
I did my car with 845 last Saturday. The previous saturday I clayed and applied DG 101. I hope it will last through most of the winter.

what made you want to go with the 476?

I have a 98 dodge ram that i had restored about 7-8 years ago. The paint in a glossy black but its extremely soft.

I always used petes 53 on it with great results, last year i used collinite with great results. I want to try the 915 on it as that looks to be better for shine than the 845

I live in Michigan, so we get all 4 seasons in a week

I did the car on saturday and jeep on sunday, right now they both have seen 65 degrees and blue skies, and 40 degrees and rain, and by the end of the week chance of snow


Mind you this is since sunday, today is tuesday. Id post pics but i think we all know what a dirty vehicle looks like :doh::cry::mad:

It sounds really odd for someone to say they restored a 98 Ram now let alone 7-8 years ago. I know its a Dodge, but it really shouldn't need to be restored at that age.
 
I just put coat #2 on the Charger this past Sunday. Love this stuff. I'm now ready for winter, at least the car is.

Restored may have been a loose term

Reconditioned, maybe is better

i pulled out 2 dents, pulled the box off the frame (then painted the frame)

fixed some rust....repainted factory black, new bumpers, decals, emblems etc

New weather stripping, window tint...etc
